    • RE: Let's change all of the keystrokes in 4.33 - ya that's a good idea (NOT !)

      To OP - So I’m confused - are you posting on behalf of your friend, or yourself?

      Here we have what must be the greatest military flight Sim ever, created by a community of “BMS programmers” who have sacrificed thousands of hours of their personal time at absolutely no cost to me and you, and this is how you choose to raise your “concerns” ?

      The only way I can rationalize it is to put it down to youthful indiscretion.

      Oh and by the way, please go ahead and reconfigure your keyfile to match 4.32 - shouldn’t take more than an hour or two, which is a far cry from the time that anyone of those devs have put in to make this a reality.

    • RE: Harrier

      From what I can tell, it is not possible to assign an axis to the nozzle angle - only individual buttons.

    • RE: I am a bit confused about the TWP instructions

      @robmypro:

      No pun intended, but I don’t see BIT anywhere on the TWP…

      Move up to the TWP (THREAT WARNING PRIME) and run the BIT on the RWR suite. These tests vary according to theF-16 model.

      I see BIT on the program knob, but it wasn’t functional. I was trying it in a Block 15.

      Where do I find this BIT to run? Thanks for the help.

      Its the button to the right of the TWP labeled as SYS TEST.

    • RE: Random cockpit switches sometimes freeze and won't move with a mouse click

      @Focaldesign:

      Monochrome would be (guessing, not entirely sure, block40 or lower), and if memory serves me right, those indeed have analog FLCS.

      It’s a Block 15.

      @Focaldesign:

      Just a wild guess here, but in what blocks/country-type of F-16s are the DBU issues happening? Do note that since the new avionics configurator, some types are designated with older analog FLCS, hence no DBU at hand. Could explain the non working switch.

      I experienced it in the default ground ops TE - not sure what block that is - but it has the monochrome MFDs.

      Edit: F-16B Block 15

      I’ve experienced the switch freeze as well. In the ground ops TE, I cannot get the DBU switch to move, though I can hear the click.

      Also had the pri/sec switch freeze in sec mode - right / left mouse click couldn’t get it back to PRI. But I’m not sure if this was because there was no power to the jet - happened during my sweep.

    • RE: General TIR5 question

      @mpdugas:

      I am trying to go through the training TEs with the BMS manuals at hand, visible on a separate monitor, with F4 running in a window, so I can research my answers as questions appear or as the training missions require.

      I am using Yassy’s profile.

      When I enter the 3D cockpit, however, I have to rotate my head over 90 degrees to either side to pick up the whole cockpit interior, usually about 110 degrees left or right.

      By the time I have brought the left and right ends of the side cockpit switch arrays into view, by turning my head to make TIR5 track, I am looking at my monitor through my extreme peripheral vision. The switches and knobs are no longer in clear focus.

      Is this the expected result with TIR5?

      You can adjust the response curves to change the ratio of physical to in game movement, see here on how to do this :

      Alternatively, download an existing profile; here is one - you can search for more :

    • RE: BMS 4.34

      @caper:

      Does anybody know the release date of BMS 4.34?

      I just wanted to be first to ask. 🙂
      Congrats to the devs, the F4 communities and the F4 loners for new release.
      Caper

      My guess would be in 2019;
      4 years after 4.33, 8 years after 4.32, but more critically to co-incide with the 21st anniversary of the release of Faclon 4.0 [emoji16]

    • RE: Resolution problem

      @specialksl:

      I did try it. You say it has a 5 minute response? (I assume you are being facetious) I did notice it took some time for the screens to pop up. I did try that and after they popped up and I resized them to fit my TM MFDs, I ran the game and they stayed blank. Well, not totally. They did display the word “blank” and some other things on the bottom but they never worked. Should I wait longer after the game starts for them to work?

      I’m not - mines literally takes 5 mins before they initialize, and it sounds like u might have the same issue. In my case however once its running, it works.

      Can u try adding a few gauges to make sure they work?

      Also what do u mean by blank? Are you in the 3d world with active mfds in cockpit at that point?

      @specialksl:

      That was my first problem. Lol. I couldn’t get MFDE to work properly. I would rather use it and HELIOS. If you can help me with MFDE, that would be outstanding!

      [emoji1]
      What is the problem with mfde? I too have an issue that I’ve learned to live with - the 5min to respond problem [emoji12]
      But at least it works.
