Foxmike,
I installed several new USB game controllers but one of them can
t be recorded as LL-Hotkey. No button of that device (Leobodnar USB interface) shows up in LMC, but shows well in BMS or even the Win10 gamecontroller setup and event tester. There is no "eating" software like TARGET running. So I can
t imagine why this device doesn`t work with LMC. Is there any device setting with influence to that problem?
You can try loading your profile without its settings from the LMC menu. This should reset the device list of your profile. (Save it to another place afterwards.)
And second question: I want to use two USB devices alternatively with MIC PTT buttons, but I can only record one alternative as DX Hotkey for MIC in Livrot as I can see. Is there a way to use 2 USB devices with seperate PTT buttons within one profile or must I always switch LMC profiles ?
From the LMC manual (P.56)
Triggering LMC Hotkeys in a macro program
For hotkeys of the LMC functions (all hotkeys located on the Settings-Window / Hotkeys page) that are triggered
by mouse button and / or keyboard chains of events, a temporary macro can be recorded that contains the
needed action to trigger that LMC Hotkey. LL-‘eater’-Hotkeys or WS-Hotkeys must be disabled while recording
them as a temporary macro (use the ‘global override’ for example), otherwise they can not be recorded, they
would just get triggered while trying to record them.
Put that macro in a new command (‘add temporary macro’) and add a phrase to that command – now you can
trigger the desired LMC Hotkeys by speech recognition (do the same for hotkeys of other applications if you like).
So simply record a keyboard hotkey that is not used anywhere else (a key combination like SHIFT+ALT+CTRL+WIN+‘m’ that is not used anywhere else) and create a new command for which you record this hotkey as a keyboard macro. Then give the command a usb button hotkey. Copy the command in the list of commands and record another usb button for it.
To have the press / release action for the mic, record only the key press events for a command triggered by a button press and do the same for the release action.

Windblow (Wingedsky) had the same issue before.
You should be able to save your profile whenever needed.
First try ‘Save As’ and check by loading that one (with setttings) though!
–-General Information—
Until the update comes: Always load old profiles without settings, then set hotkeys up and save it under a new name.
(Do not load a profile with its settings if it was not saved from the actual version before.)
–----------------------------
I will try to update your account within 24 hrs.
Regards and thanks,
Torvil
to use older lmc versions with win10 try this:
open the lmc folder (from the menu/file/open lmc folder)
right click on the 4.5 MB LMC main file and select properties
click on the compatibility tab
check ‘run this program in compatibility mode for’
and select ‘windows 7’ from the list
I hope it helps until an update is ready.
Sorry, the LMC hotkey system got rewritten and these bugs surfaced with the rewrite.
I will investigate this.
What do you mean by ‘you save settings and close LMC’ - did you save the profile again, too?
foxmike, I just checked the drop down list the BRK (break) key is called {Pause} in there.
please try that one, too.
Hi.
I tried that several times but that doesnt work. I got:
Temporary macro is empty. No command created.
This report shows every time even when other keys are pressed, although my keyboard works fine and in preferences temp macros are allowed. So why is the recording not working? Any other forgotten settings?
Thanks for helpEdit: mouse temp macro recording works well, but the keyboard shows no reaction when recording
LMC is still ‘funny’ in some regards ……
are you using a laptop?
then try clicking on an opened notepad window just before pressing the key combination.
hope this helps.

Torvil
Heads Up!
Voice Attack Profiles can be loaded into LMC (actual version).
Simply rename the .vap file into a .xml file and load it from LMC.
I just checked it using this one:
VAC profiles can be loaded into LMC, too.
(DJ’s VAC profile for French keyboard) https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?8323-DeeJay-s-Voice-Activaded-Commands-(VAC)-Profiles&p=102541&viewfull=1#post102541
… and Keyspeech profiles, also.
Do not forget to save the profile afterwards to complete the conversion.
LMC licenses can be had for free here, PM or post your username (from livrot.com).

Hi Foxmike,
when you have the lmc editor window open, click on the red ball icon showing a ‘K’ and press CRTL + BRK.
The BRK or PAUSE key is the second key to the right of the print (screenshot) key.
Then click on the red square (stop) icon.
Now click on the blue ‘+’ icon and the recorded key presses are added as events into a new/fresh created command.
All that is left to do is to open that command and give it a phrase.

Torvil
thanks a lot!
did you try and select another voice in settings/sounds/command feedback already?
the profiles I saved like the crash course profile could be loaded directly by clicking on them (when lmc is not running - do you mean with lmc being started already?)
if the key release events have not been recorded ‘eat key up’ can not be selected for that hotkey. (if you could please tell me which page of the manual recommends this for LL hotkeys using ctrl, I would like to take a look at that part)
I will look into all this as soon as possible.
Noted. I look into this when I have some time.
The pause key was no good idea, sorry.
I did a quick test with the ‘<’ key and it works.
BUT you have to turn ‘key repeat’ off in the ‘Advanced & Global Hotkey Settings’ of LMC. (concerns only LMC hotkey recognition not the system)
Works in notepad at least.
I hope this fixes it for you (and everyone else having the same issue).
Your ideas and suggestions are always welcome Wingedsky!
cheers,
Torvil
Thank you Wingedsky for all your feedback!
I will look into these errors.
For the time being the mic hotkey when used in PTT or PTD mode (when pressed long)
should be a single key - that key can not be used for anything else while the profile is loaded in LMC - try the ‘Pause’ key (2nd to the right of the screenshot key), please.
You could also record the fourth mouse button or a joystick button for it if you can sacrifice one button for it.
Alternatively you could check the ‘listen once’ mode in which you just hit the hotkey-combo shortly before every phrase.
This way the keys used in the LMC hotkey-‘key combination’ like F8+m can be used ordinarily in BMS still (at least I hope so …. )
You then have the time to say your phrase LMC waits till a phrase is recognized in that mode.
I hope that this helps a bit.

Torvil
Hello Wingedsky,
perhaps jumping from 2015 jan to 2017 april (6 versions of LMC later) may be at the origin of most of your troubles.
Please try opening the LMC folder from the menu and right click + drag the LMC crash course profile to your desktop.
Close LMC and double click on that profile to reopen LMC with that profile.
Doing so should bring the settings file of LMC up to date.
Then open your profile with the ‘load profile without settings’ icon (shows a folder with a red arrow)
to load the commands of your profile without the old settings of your profile.
Switch to PTT now if you like.
Try to use the mic hotkey recorded in these settings hold ‘F8’ and press ‘m’.
It works fine here (in notepad and paint).
If it does not work in BMS, try running BMS in ‘window’ mode once for a test, please.
Did you read the ‘record elementary LMC hotkeys’ part of the quick start guide in the new manual and the links provided at the end of that section
(the new eater mode)? If not, please do so.
I do not have much time ATM, but as soon as I got some I install BMS and upload a profile that is up to date for LMC usage with BMS.

Torvil
Helo Wingedsky,
I am sorry, but this would mean a lot of work for me - and it would take weeks to provide a solution for older versions.
Another user has already pointed out that artificial LMC keypresses do not reach BMS,
while testing with notepad showed no problems.
Can you confirm this?
I did load your profile (from livrot.com) in LMC (V1.170408 ) and would suggest, to try the following after loading your profile:
click settings/hotkey/‘Advanced & Global …’
in ‘Global Windows System Hotkey Changer’
click ‘erase’, ‘OK’
then ‘convert to Low Level’
now to be able to press the hotkeys using just one hand
record ‘F5’ + ‘F6’ for the mic hotkey and ‘F1’ + ‘Escape’ for the stop hotkey.
To trigger these hold the first key(F5) while pressing the second(F6).
I tested this and the ‘press while talk’ mic mode does as desired until releasing ‘F6’
Please tell me more about ‘things didn’t work’, so that I can repair it.
Regards,
Torvil
No. The settings are kept, as you normally have everything set up according to your needs and preferences.
To restore the default settings, load the ‘crash_course_profile’ from the LMC folder (Menu/Files/Open LMC folder - copy it to the desktop and open it, then create a new profile).
Make sure not to use a key that is used in your BMS keyfile! - Try the pause key for example.
Another idea: right click on the mic hotkey and set it to ‘Windows System’ hotkey. Then record it again as ‘WIN(windows key) + V’.
You are using the latest version (1.170408 ) of LMC, right?
Try running BMS in windowed mode.
Or right click on the mic hotkey button in LMC and select ‘device bound’.
Or try recording the third mouse button as the mic hotkey. Eventually set this hotkey to ‘device bound’ if needed.
Or try connecting a gamepad/joystick and use one of its buttons for the mic.
Hope any of these helps,
Livrot
All registered LMC users have been upgraded to ‘owner’ state.
I will repeat this every Sunday/Monday for some weeks.
So simply register on livrot.com to use LMC.
Until being upgraded, use temporary licenses.
