@drtbkj Thank you, but it did not solve the problem .

RE: AV-8B Carrier operations
@white_fang Im not saying i prefer having a stationary carrier, i only wanted to see if the fault was caused by the movement. It is like you say that we need to live with it untill someone can figure it out. But it would be more realistic if the jet didnt juped forward at landing .

RE: AV-8B Carrier operations
@drtbkj Great, thank you! I will try that.

RE: AV-8B Carrier operations
Thank you all for you comments, this is what makes BMS so great. And a extra thank you to Radium for the Wasp carrier!
Tested to land on the other carriers and the same thing hapends . Forward motion when wheels hit the ground and the reverse when doing a vertical takeoff. Not happening on land based operations.
Is it possible to stop the movement of the carrier? Would be interesting to see if that could be the problem. -
RE: AV-8B Carrier operations
@Le_Beau egen On land based operations the problem is not there.

RE: AV-8B Carrier operations
@vyrago Thank you . I will try rotating the nossle to 110 degree to counter moving forward
-
RE: AV-8B Carrier operations
@vyrago Yes, exactly the problem i have. I dont think it is a groudeffect problem because landing on ground works fine. Maby it is affected by the ship movement?
-
RE: AV-8B Carrier operations
@vyrago I normally do rolling takeoff. Just tested vertical to se if it is the same problem as landings. When landing i have zero relative speed to the deck but as soon as i set the weels down it is as if i have a lot of forward Speed. Really have to stand on the brakes just to not hit another Aircraft. All landings with 90 nossle, stol flaps and speedbreak out.

AV-8B Carrier operations
Hello fellow BMS simmers.
I find flying the harrier great fun and challenging, especially carrier operations from the Wasp class carrier. The only problem I have is that when I touch down on the deck it is as if the jet is moving forward with about 20kts. The opposite happens when doing a vertical takeoff. When the jet is leaving the carrier deck it is moving backwards in 20kts.
Is there any fix for this problem? I don’t remember this form flying in 4.33. -
RE: The replacement of cougar TQS pots?
I wonder if this pot may work as a replacement antenna pot?

RE: The replacement of cougar TQS pots?
Hi. I have the same problem with the antenna pot on my tqs. Is it possible to take the pot apart and repair it? Has enyone tryed that ? Maybe it only needs to be cleaned inside.

RE: F-16 FLCS + TQS
Just remember that your motherboard has to have a ps/2 input for the keyboard to be able to program the FLCS-TQS. It wont work with a ps/2 usb adapter. The program sends the keyboard commands through the ps/2 port . When it is programmed you can use a usb adapter.
Here is a good site for old gameport joystick projects. http://www.warrenernst.com/thrustmaster
Here is a link where you can download fox two for the old FLCS-TQS. A lot easier to program in windows instead of DOS. -
RE: F-16 FLCS + TQS
Hi Leo. Well it works ok. Sometimes i need to unplug the adapter and the keyboard to get the buttons to work. I got the rangekob working but the antenna knob is dead. I think the pot is bad. Planning to disasemble the throttle to see if i can fix it.I also have to recenter the joystick in bms settings every time i start the program .Other than that i am verry happy with my setup. To use these old joysticks is not as straight forwad as plugging in a more modern joystick, but if you like me like maximum bang for the buck then its absolutley worth it. I also has the suncom talon and sfs throttle. They also work 100% with the same adapter. I can combine the flcs joystick with the sfs throttle! A por mans hotas warthog. Good luck and let me know if you have any questions .

RE: F-16 FLCS + TQS
I just got my stick and throttle working now. I have my usb adapter set to mode 2. I made a usb stick dos bootable and was able to run the thrustmaster software that loads the joystick. I currently got all buttons working on both the flcs and tqs. The radar elevation and rangeknobs dont work yet, but i think thats a matter of programming. Now i only have to change the button asignements to fit the 4.33 keyboard layout. Good luck and let me know how it works out for you.

RE: F-16 FLCS + TQS
The rockfire adapter works great with my FLCS/TQS. Also works with Suncom Talon/SFS . Im currently trying to program the FLCS/TQS. Think i need to boot in to DOS to do this.
