@Dracfalcon I do set my throttle using the AL. I just don’t know how to configure this section - or if I should configure it at all.

@airtex2019 Let me know if I can help beta test. I’m just learning this sim, but would be glad to help if I can.

RE: Afterburner goes on both ways on throttle after 4.37.3 installation
@Dracfalcon It doesn’t work. The rY axis checkbox for Inversion was already checked, the rX was unchecked. When I checked them both I would only get 50% of the movement of the axis. Undoing this restored it to 100%. (And, for a while here, I was only getting 92% of the axis movement in the Virpil software, which is really odd.)
How should I have the SETUP in the sim itself in the controllers section? Here’s a screenshot…
I appreciate your help. If anything, solving this will make me learn the Virpil software.

Afterburner goes on both ways on throttle after 4.37.3 installation
I’ve looked through this forum and tried the solutions put forth by others but this problem is still rearing its’ ugly head.
Afterburner on F-16 goes on when I move the throttle to IDLE and also when moved forward into AFTERBURNER. It mostly goes off when I center the throttle. Started immediately after I upgraded to .3.
I’m using the Alt-Launcher to set things up. I have a Virpil Mongoos T-50CM3 with the 5 way modifier for my throttle and a Virpil 50CM3 Flight Base along with a Constellation Alpha Prime. After I started having this problem I upgraded the firmware on both, re-calibrated them and did a clean install of 4.37.3.
I’m not sure how things should be set in SETUP inside the game when I use the alt-launcher. I’m probably not configuring something correctly, and it might be simple.
I could sure use some help!
Thanks

RE: Secretlabs gaming chair experience, anyone?
@DaveB I am considering getting it. Seems to me it might be better to have that than the lumbar adjustment on the chair itself.
Thanks

RE: Secretlabs gaming chair experience, anyone?
@jayb Thanks for the reply and the recommendations, Jay!
From your description it sounds like you got the leatherette upholstery. Does it peel and chafe easily? I’m a bit reluctant to get the fabric because I would think it’d be hard to clean and keep from staining.
What I’m most worried about is customer service. There are some people that have actually made Youtube videos about how bad their customer service is if there is a problem with the chair when you get it.
Anyway, I appreciate the help!

Secretlabs gaming chair experience, anyone?
I’m considering getting a gaming chair. I need some support for my neck when I fly, and the Secretlab’s Titan Evo seems to be one of the best ones around. It’s also one of the most expensive, so if anyone has any experience with this company and their chairs I’d love to hear about it.
I was about to pull the trigger this morning but I found some reviews on the 'net that were terrible - essentially complaining about the horrible customer service.
Thank you!

Not affiliated with these guys in any way. Just thought it’s a cool place with great gear. I’m going to stop in sometime and check it out.

RE: BMS Training Script with Voice Instructions
This is absolutely amazing for a new pilot like me! I’ve been doing the ALT-TAB method of following videos on Youtube and this is heads and shoulders above that.
It really highlights things that I need to learn more about.Thank you!

RE: 4.37 doesn't retain Input selection for Joystick
Thanks for everyone’s help. All the answers were correct. I was setting it in the game in the 2D menu while using the alt-launcher.
I set the stick up in the Alt-launcher and all is well now.
Appreciate it!

4.37 doesn't retain Input selection for Joystick
Whenever I exit 4.37 the setup dumps my joystick preference and resets it back to Keyboard. I have to manually set it to my joystick (Fox 2 Pro) each and every time I come back into 4.37.
Bug? Or have I done something incorrectly?
Thanks!

RE: No guns using Thrustmaster Fox 2 Pro stick
No, I haven’t. Had to look up the acronyms you just mentioned, so no I haven’t done that. I’ve never used a throttle, always just keyboard and joystick. Maybe it’s time…

RE: No guns using Thrustmaster Fox 2 Pro stick
I thought I replied to this in addition to thanking you, but it didn’t show up…odd.
Anyway, I did the edits you suggested and it worked, but not right away.
I went into Instant Action after I edited the BMS FULL .key file in Notepad, and when I first entered the cockpit I had no guns. Once I pressed the ‘d’ key I had guns. Dogfight Mode.
I have to spend a lot of time reading the manual.
Before I do that, I have two quick questions.
- Is there any more configuration I need to do with this dated TM Fox 2 Pro joystick? OR…
- Should I just get another? Would that save me time and headache?
I appreciate your help. The guns look great, by the way! Way better than the old version…
Thanks…

RE: No guns using Thrustmaster Fox 2 Pro stick
When I go into SETUP in the game, pressing the trigger shows detent 1 on the Fox 2 Pro.
I have googled and googled to try to figure out how to change this, but I can’t come up with the answer. I’ve found guides for other joysticks but I have no idea how to change this with my modest setup.
Can someone point me to where I need to go? I’m planning on reading the manual over the course of the next few weeks, but there’s nothing in there that shows how to switch the trigger from detent 1 to detent 2.
Thanks…

No guns using Thrustmaster Fox 2 Pro stick
At the risk of posting a dumb question, here goes:
I followed the instructions for installing BMS 4.33 to the letter, and when I try to fly in any part of the simulator (Instant Action, Campaign or whatever) I am not able to figure out how to fire my guns. I have pressed every button on my Fox 2 Pro joystick, re-calibrated it, installed the alternate launcher. The button works, but I just can’t fire guns.
Anyone have any ideas? I’m hoping it’s something simple that I’ve forgotten to do. I’m new to BMS, and am very interested in learning this.
Thanks!

Wow…
I got Falcon 4 when it came out late in 1998, and suffered through patch after patch until there were no more!
Kudo’s to the BMS team. I got 4.33 set up last night and can’t believe the work you guys have done. I got into Instant Action only briefly, just to make sure it works. I’m going to have some time soon to dig into this and I can’t wait. Some of the videos on Youtube are just beautiful….FINALLY you get the sense of speed!!!
Way to go, guys!
