Pit is built on a DOF6 motion platform. Used for VR only. The GA pit is easily swapped out and made into an F-16 pit. It can use 4 GoFlight modules that provide 6 rotary switches, 16 pushbutton and 8 switches. The device in the middle is an X-Keys Pro that has pics of the ICP buttons and is programmable. I have it situated so that I can use AR to manage the ICP and MFD’s.

AR/XR and Falcon BMS is actually a usable feature.
I gave Reality Mixer on Steam a try and find that it works pretty well. Although the app only works with SteamVR ATM, there’s no reason not to take advantage of it in it’s current state. The opacity to overlay with current physical pits and the ability to toggle makes this a decent solution. (Short term anyway)
I don’t have a place to post a pic of my pit, so I’ll update the vid at a later date. The ICP looking thingy in the middle is an X-Keys Pro HID device programmed for key stroke input. Plus 4 GoFlight modules that allow for key input.

RTT and VR
Does anyone know if the RTT MFD extraction works with VR? I’m going to be testing some AR with the Q3 and would like to know this before I head down this rabbit hole.
Thx

RE: GoFlight GF-RP48 and rotary lag.
@Puckertoe I found a setting inside the options that provides a “Key Mapping Speed.” After setting that to MAX it responds just fine.

GoFlight GF-RP48 and rotary lag.
Greetings,
I’m trying to use my GoFlight modules with BMS. I’m using GFKeys 1.5 that provide an HID interface to the device. On the GF-RP48 there are 4 rotary devices. One of them I have is set up to do HSI CRS +/-1 increment/decrement. One is also used for the HCMS display. For some reason the HSI CRS has got some God awful lag. When I use the keyboard the response is fine, however the rotary is really laggy.Anybody happen to use this device successfully? And if so is there some magic you use?
I’m on Windows 11 ATM.
thx

RE: Throttle Tension MOD or workaround?
Awesome! I’m delighted how non-technical this is. I don’t have coasters atm, but I did take some cardboard off one of those 40 count AA battery packs you get in the store. Although not as thick as a coaster, it was great for a first initial test.
It worked great. I can keep the throttle at 100% now without having to hold it with my hand or having it fall forward.
Nicely done @Tomcattwo . You should write this up and add it to that Cougar site if you can. The one that was referenced for me was far too complicated;

Thanks again d00d.

@Atlas Ah…didn’t think of that. Thanks for the suggestion.

Throttle Tension MOD or workaround?
Greetings,
I was wondering if anybody did any mod to the throttle to increase the tension. I did find a MOD on the old Cougar site, but it’s really too involved for me.
Has anybody been able to increase the tensions somehow?
thx

RE: 4.37.U3 TUSBA R2 X/Y Axis Difficulties.
@Icarus Thanks for the info. It did work, but it caused some shifted DX assignments not to work anymore. I dickered and dickered with the TUSBA and launcher and finally got the X/Y axis recognized. Thanks again for the tip.

RE: 4.37.U3 TUSBA R2 X/Y Axis Difficulties.
I figured it out. However the problem is not the device. It’s the launcher. So whenever I play I have to go into the Setup menu in Falcon and set the axis manually each time. PIA, but at least it works.

RE: 4.37.U3 TUSBA R2 X/Y Axis Difficulties.
How do you calibrate the X/Y axis. I don’t understand where that actually happens. Can someone explain like I don’t know what I’m doing? Thanks a bunch.

RE: Apple VR
I really don’t think the Apple VP is going to go very far. Maybe next year we can get it on sale for $299 or something.

4.37.U3 TUSBA R2 X/Y Axis Difficulties.
Greetings,
I have a Cougar throttle (SN 5646) and a TUSBA R2. The problem I’m running into is that the launcher doesn’t see the x/y axis. Although it’s plain as day in the Realsim HID device tool.
When I use the internal application avionics mapping it sees the x/y, but the result is the axis is pegged up and right. So the FCR shows the cursor full top of the MFD and continuously moving right.
Anybody have any ideas on how to resolve this?
Thanks.
