I edited F-4E IAF’s .dat file and changed maximum number of ARM missiles from 0 to 4. Problem solved.

@pgk007 I think I Ukraine they were not active, but in Libya ~10 pantsirs destroyed (most of them active) for ~20 tb2 losses and in Syria also lots of air defense systems struck with 1 or 0 tb2 losses. IMO IADS network and jamming changes things a lot, for example in Syria there was heavy jamming during whole operation by Turkish systems so there were nearly no losses. Plus Syrian air defense was integrated. In Libya there was no jamming from Turkish side and Pantsirs+Krasukha jammers inflicted relatively high losses. But in Ukraine after a few weeks, heavy Russian jamming and IADS forced all tb2s to be grounded or converted to long range ISR role. Also despite HARMs i didn’t see much effect on Russian air defenses. Especially no for s300, they are not visually confirmed.

Finally as big Bird’s tracking angle is 90 degree, I’d just change attack azimuth for SDBs and sa-10 can do nothing to 32x SDBs swarm

@suhkoi69 afaik weather conditions degrades manpads capability. Such as fog, clouds etc. Also at night turning lights off will degrade AI’s capability to detect you visually.

Tb2 is also relatively low observable for air defense systems because of radar cross section from downside -

@airtex2019 instead of deleting growlers, I prefer to assign growlers but instead of sead mission I assign DEAD mission to SAM sites around the target area. If there are SA-10 batteries I simply don’t fly there before they’re struck.

Strafing
Israel theater, some aircraft can(?) strafe but all the thing they do is firing gun into the air, sometimes till they bingo fuel. Strafing can be disabled from aircraft.dat file. Anyway this fix better come with default Israel theater install.

Some missile bug report
4.37U2, first thing is about mavericks. I haven’t seen any problem with AGM-65D but A and B models usually fall short especially when AI aircraft launches them from low altitude. Second problem is about aim-7. AI aircraft loft them but because of lofting trajectory, target aircraft is out of AIM-7’s scan angle.

Flight needs AR weapons
In Israel theater, I want to assign some F-4Es for dead mission but it says Flight needs AR weapons but none available in squadron stores. Problem is actually it has AGM-78 STANDART ARM and AGM-45 Shrikes. Anyone knows how to fix it? (Meanwhile I can assign DEAD missions for F-16I despite it can’t carry any kind of AR weapons.)

@white_fang Yes I agree that it is realistic. But the problem is when I bomb fuel tanks, squadron can still find fuel. When I bomb all hangars no aircraft is lost and they just repair the runway and scramble fighters to hinder my strikes. Somebody had an idea about it in old subjects.

Also if runway is operational, they will fly scramble sorties regardless of operational status of airbase

@cchaparro 1) It is normal and I also don’t remember seeing them in recon.
2) IRL SA-10s can change positions of launchers and radars very quickly. Even if they protecting a static target, they can move a little bit (like 50 meters) so they won’t be hit by GPS guided munitions. There’s nothing wrong.
3) B is SA-5’s Search radar, BAR LOCK B. -

- SA-10s are mobile SAMs so it won’t be on the map unless spotted by JSTARS or other Aircraft. But sa-2s and sa-3s are static so their position is always known.
- SA-16s are manpads so it’s hard to see from TGP unless you zoomed like 4x+narrow fov to a known position.
