I just want to add for anybody reading this, try not to be scared off by our āprofessionalism.ā We do things without taking shortcuts, but itās not such a rigid environment where you canāt make mistakes and be shunned forever š We just simply look to do things the right way overall. There was a certain person who wanted this to include STANEVAL (real world USAF grading criteria), thatās where I drew the lineā¦ :wfish:
Our main goal is that everyone will learn the TTP to a certain reasonable standard and operate the F-16 within BMS to the best of their ability. Yes we want you to be very skilled, but at the same time we are always going to make mistakes, even the real life guys screw it up and thatās what debriefing is for. You will learn everything there is to know about the Viper within Falcon BMS over a period of time that you would be flying anyway. Why not put it to use and make it more productive building your skill over time. One of the biggest things our training imparts is confidence in yourself, your team, and you will do things you never thought possible as a result. The transformation is truly amazing, we have taken in the most green pilot you can think of, teaching the ways of a fighter pilot and watched them grow from uncertainty, to someone who can take the bull by the horns and get it done on the virtual battlefield.
As a huge feature of our wing we have what we call the Aviation Resource Management System (ARMS), loosely based off what the real world guys use to track flight time and customized for our needs. This will be continued to be expanded upon over time and added detail including eventually some inventory/fleet management that will drive Functional Check Flights (FCF) which is a really cool flight where you go put the F-16 through her paces and ensure sheās fit for the flight line. Hereās some features of ARMS in itās current version:
Custom DRYAD that generates 3 sets of random cryptographic sheets, perfect for immersion for FAC/CAS flights and other authentication/encryption needs. Very cool feature of the site.
MISREP filing form, including the 16 major currency items of the F-16, you will always be able to ensure that you are performing at the highest levels possible.
Real world NOTAMs pulled from FAA data sources for added immersion and realism (Flight lead/MC discretion, not mandatory on every flight).
In depth logbook system for you to track your hours by type, both combat and training, your flight currency, ect. Flight currency turns orange when nearing expiration and red at expiration, allowing you to effectively manage your proficiency in the jet. (Yes, I am current on all those items, itās really easy once you get on top āthe hill.ā)
Weather center for flight planning and operations, allows you to plan in detail, designed for use in conjunction with the updated weather system in BMS 4.33, WeatherCommander, and the various software used to parse weather data from zygrib.
Weāre not expecting you to be an āAceā right off the bat, that is going to come with a little bit of time and some elbow grease. You will grow as an aviator without even realizing it. Everyone that has gone through our course and graduated all say they enjoyed it and learned a lot, you will be no different. Nothing beats doing things the right way and if you make it through, you will see exactly why we train the way we do and what we do it for. Good luck to anybody who applies and takes the step up to a little more in depth style of flying Falcon 4. Thanks for your time, wish to see some of you all on the line! š
