Nice to hear from you and that Falcon lives on!
Sure, go ahead permission granted. BTW, when I shut down FF I believe I gave blanket permission to BMS team to use whatever they wanted - EVERYTHING. So, please feel free to use whatever you can from FreeFalcon models and and skins that I made. Also, BMS deactivated my Ranger822 account so I have never been able to go there and see what they have done since FreeFalcon shut down but I am guessing that much progress has been made and hope BMS was able to make working theaters and campaigns like FreeFalcon and that BMS has finally relaxed with regards to individual modification of things like in FreeFalcon. That was one of the major issues I had with BMS - too much control and lack of freehand to mod things. In the end, perhaps their policy proved smarter and better because BMS is still alive and you and others are still playing with it.

Actual editing was for the Double aim-9 rack that early models (B-D and J-N-S) had i modified the lod cause when the double rack included as a different lod in the zip file (for E version and D) then will appear funny in 3d world. Also in all versions beside C-E the weapon racks (slots) where porked so i corrected that as well and some editing in the dat files so the animations Flaps,Stabilizers,Slats,Gears, and stuff appear correctly. Im dont have access right now in any pictures cause im on vacation and away from my Pc.

As a rack for 2x A-A missiles - also may be used original BMS rack ct 2941.

I also have some… Not lightning though. I have israel,vietnam,europe,taiwan,aegean skins for the phantoms but i dont know if i can post the all here thats why im waiting for the list. I also have a custom skin i made for -D from vietnam era…

Guys i continue to test the lods and they have minor errors still… Someone with better knowlege on editing Lods or Dat is free to do so…

Hi Manos, I wonder if someone maybe has the original LODs from Ranger, probably those will be accurate/fixed with such issues that you see now. I don’t know if someone took the time to convert the FF models to LODs (they aren’t LODs in FF DB but DXMs), maybe that will be the best way for you

Molni as you can see in the pic i posted the front wheel is like floating in the air,same goes for -E i’m trying to find what and why…

I-Hawk I could do that but from some reason the Windshield and the middle windows of the canopy also the formation lights appear black and tha slats and rudder with transparecy for some reason. Therefore not all FF models can ported in BMS i tried only with ITO ones everything else doesnt work at all.
I’m trying to learn how to work with all this cause i like it, i know im not expirienced but the effort is what count right? Something good might gain from all this!

you can fix the main gear problem in the f4 dat file
Gear X, Y, Z, Rng
12.5 0 7.9 100
36.4 -8.05 7.9 100
36.4 8.05 7.9 100try to adjust values from 7.9 to 7.8 7.7 etc till the gear touch the ground , all that 3 values get to be the same.
for the transparence problem, ff textures were in dxt3 while in bms f4 textures are in dxt1. Try to save the new textures in dxt3, could be the solution.

Dema i tried nothing seems to work though… still the front wheel dont touch the ground.
By the way, its not a texture problem, when i export the model from dxm to lod the winshield looses its transparency. -
