F/A-18 Loadouts
-
Are there loadouts for the hornet? Curious since I didn’t see any in TE, and was wondering if I just missed something.
Thanks

You can make your own and save them (in the loadout screen). I only see F-16 loadouts.
Do you know if there is reference to a list of ‘approved’ standard loadouts for the F/A-18? Like the PACAF SCL list, for example.

I will be interesting by the answers too

Well…I brought up an F-16, went to munitions, clicked on the A-G loadout, and saved it as F/A-18 A-G. I did the same thing for A-A. Then I brought up an F/A-18E, and the loadouts were there.

Found this for F18 http://www.dstorm.eu/pages/loadout/f-18.html
I am so excited for carrier ops and such an amazing looking pit for te F18. BMS has out done themselves!

I just wish we could get more than 4 A/C on the boat. But this very cool!!!

It’s a TE so that might be ‘cheating’. All the same squadron though. Not sure what would’ve happened if they were all Human and spawned at the same time.
Edit:
Same TE, but three 4-ships. ~2 min T/O intervals. All spawned OK. Interested to see what we can do with Human pilots.

In my online server we have done 2x4 ships with 6 min take off intervals. They don’t spawn in deck until about T-4 mins or just before you jump in the pit, so 1st flight can get off the flight line and queue up behind the cat, allowing the next flight to spawn. If you’re REALLY good as a squadron you might be able to get 10-12 planes using this method but be careful and back up your logbook when experimenting as you may find yourself randomly exploding

THAT ROCKS!!! Thanks guys!!!

OK….1 more question. Is there a way I can set the boats heading?

For my own edification and partly prompted by the OP, I joined as the last AC in the last flight to observe the spawn, taxi and TO behaviour in the above mentioned TE. AI is VERY well behaved in such close quarters (nice job devs!!). Flights were scheduled with about 2:30 between TO times. First two flights spawned just a few minutes before scheduled TO.

I wonder what goes flying off the left side of the ship at 1:22??

Haha. That’s my little ‘parachute mouse cursor guy’ …. I had Alt-Tabbed out to start FRAPs and got ‘parachute man’.

Have you tried altering the taxi time.
set g_nTaxiLaunchTime 4 // Time before TOT to launch to TAXI (in min) set g_nReagTimer 2 // AB A/C despawn-> delay before disappearing (in min) set g_nDeagTimer 2 // AB A/C spawn-> lead time before taxiing (in min)

No we hadn’t, is this a server-side setting or does everyone need to alter this?
-
I’m no MP expert but I think all settings are transferred from the server.

Looks great. Especially when AI were trying to avoid collision.
