How many of you are using multi monitor setups?
-
Once I get the pieces together I will make a thread documenting the pit.

L@101-Pilotwings:
Here is my cockpit. I fly FSX presently due to the fact that I need to reprogram all my X-Keys panels. On top is my " Falcon BMS " setup that I just put on the desk after removing my FSX setup. Works like a charm.
My system now is a I5-2500K @ 4.53GHz, 16GB of DDR3, twin GTX 670 4GB in NVSurround with 3x 27-inch Samsung monitors.
My BMS has X-Keys stuff, Cougar MFDs and a full CH HOTAS.
My FSX is a 7x Instrument panels, twin radios, single autopilot ( all networked ), multi-engine throttles and trim and Saitek Yoke. There is another system on the left which is my networked Saitek panels/radios, FSX WX/GPS Maps/TS/IVC server ( running a i7-3770 ).

Just noticed we are running same monitors, they are great value i paid £150 each for mine.

Also working with 3 screens with HD7970 GPU… that works quite good.
-
Heya, 4 screen 24" on Saphire Tri-X R9 290 4 GB GDDR 5 (WIN 7-64) , set up normal 40-50 FPS
-
i use multiple mini LCDs along with one large 42" HDTV off a NVidia 770gtx and i7-3.5Ghz rig.
-
Ripper, while I am impressed by the wrap-around screen you have, I felt like that fell into “FSX territory.” Displays like that are beautiful when you don’t have to turn your view around. How does it work for things like BMS where you have to “check six” and work with TrackIR? Any chance of posting a video?
What projectors are you using and what videocard is doing the work?
Thanks!
Here is Tomas from Simpits recommended projectors
"Hi,
The most commonly used are BenQ 1080ST ( my favourite) and Optoma GT 1080. The software should be working all well with the system as well as Track IR (I use it myself - mainly for parallax correction)
Best regards
Tomas"

Yours looks to be decently equipped!
I have it down to the standard steps for a hardware/software integration. Built two other rigs, software-wise… one almost a replica of mine, and another single main monitor setup except he has 2 x 980 NV cards. If I had to do it all over, I would only drive a Helios setup like Ice has nicely provided everybody on a single touch screen and three monitors tied to one. I have to do another rig, probably this year, but single larger main monitor and a main touch with a mod of Ice’s Helios profile. I was thinking about a 390 GPU…you recommend it?
Sorry just seen this, yes i would recommend it as a card, very quiet even under load, i have mine running at 1130 core and 6200 memory clocks, the nvidia 980 is only about 20% faster than mine at double the cost. Now downloaded f4 and bms, i am getting 80 fps with everthing up full on one monitor.

Wpn and tgp on? Resolution?
-
My setup which is run from a pair of Nvidia GTX 770’s at 5760 x 1080. I have vsync enabled, and without weapon, FLIR, or TGP video on, runs at 60 FPS. With FLIR and TGP on at low level with max trees and grass, 45-50 FPS. Also using MFDE to extract displays via LAN to a second computer driving the 4th monitor in the pic.
-
single monitor 1920x1080, looked through my settings menu, video recording is on, whats with the weapons, where are they toggled on/off from? Not read manual as of yet.
-
Dual Monitor using Lightnings MFDE. Nvidia 670 Sli. I average about 40 to 45 frames with everything maxed.

Hi,
can someone of you with a multimonitor Setup Point out a few more about the graphic settings. I run 5760x1200 with a Radeon R9 290 OC 4 GB card, CPU is a I7 OC to 4 Ghz. Currently I can get about 30-40 fps over korea. But when it comes to TGP and Mavericks it falls to 15 fps…
I tried to minimize the eyecandy stuff but it seems that I can’t really get more fps out of the game over korea right now. Israel runs better even with activ TGP…
Just want to find out if really need to buy a new gfx card like R9 Fury or GTX 9800(Ti) to get better Frames. What do you think?
-
Did you heard about the new At drivers that boost performance?
-
Yes Arty I use them already but still the beta version because the latest didn’t support my secondary card anymore. I use a 5450 for my MFDs. I think it runs better with the new drivers.
But the hunt for “TGP frames” continues. Have to test again what happens without shadows, shaders etc. -
Buhhhh although eyecandy I consider them a must cause in real life visuals are way more plural than the sim. So those eyecandy are a must for enjoyment and I refuse to let them go. I prefer to spend some more money and have them than forget about them to have more fps.
Are you OCing the beast?
IMHO your fps are great. Now I’m on the 20ish, rarely viewing 30+ and my experience is very fluid.
Today I get a new (used) hw combo just to make sure I don’t get bellow 30fps. -
I’m running 3 monitors with a AMD 6970 @ 4800×900 and a couple of MFDE monitors on a 5450. While I am only getting normal FPS with all the eye candy in the 30s, (CPU is an AMD [email protected]), I still don’t think the 6970 is the bottleneck. My system monitoring software on one of my MFDE monitors reports that the main GPU rarely gets above 60% load.
-
That is interesting because my hw monitor says the same. But I had also 0-100% inside the MSI Afterburner.
-
Did you heard about the new At drivers that boost performance?
The new AMD Crimson drivers toasted my system…I lost 2 days of flying while trying to get my Pit back to Mission Ready. Admittedly, I tried the beta release, but the final is out there, dtd 17 Dec 2015. I’m skeptical until I see more Crimson versions. Can’t afford the downtime.
-
Lol Yeap that was a big f up. I hope they paid for the replacement.
Now it’s fixed as I read.
For those that don’t know there was an error in the first driver and fan control resulting to melted cards.
