No radio at ramp start, if…
-
Hi,
let me try to explain:
While doing ramp start and directly after INS align starts
I set the COMM-buttoms to ‘BOTH’ and set *all volumes to ‘FULL’
then I switch the DED for to set COMM by typing 15 (in my case is Kimpo as default)But you (I) cannot hear hear anything…
It first needs to (re)set the COMM-button from ‘BOTH’ to ‘OFF’ and again to ‘BOTH’…, then all fine.
Because I do not know. if this behavior is correct, I want to ask here if it is.Greeting

I may not be understanding the problem, but on the auxillery comms panel on the left console, there is a rotary switch which needs to be moved from back up to UFC. Have you done this in your ramp start?

and did you load the Data Cartridge in MFD?
Otherwhise Channel 15 can be any frequency.
That won’t explain why Both-off-Both would matter, but perhaps you did multiple steps between? -
Hi,
please note, that it “only” needs to switch from ‘BOTH’ to ‘OFF’ and again to ‘BOTH’ to get at once all radio chatter…
But this only the way it occurs, if you (I) set the radio channel while alignment. If I let pass the complete alignment and first then setting Data Cartridge and then the default radio channel…all is fine.
I tried it now several times…, each time if I set the default radio channel *while alignment with full/complete radio settings as ‘ON’, it needs one time back from ‘BOTH’ to ‘NON’ and again back to ‘BOTH’ to hear the radio chatter…Greeting

I have noticed that I dont get radio chatter before loading my DTC, even when setting the frequencies manually… will have to see if switching from BOTH back to OFF and back to BOTH fixes it for me too. Sounds like a bug to me.

Is your backup radio on?

Yep … Check CNI to backup.
