Morphine's Profile

Thank you, unfortunately I did not understand because your profile does not work …
Boxin’s profile works fine. I have personally run it on two separate machines, win 7 and 10. You either are not running the profile, using the right keymap, you have win 10 power saving on your USB ports or your Target combine is not the first DirectX device.

If you need help just post what the problem is and I will be happy to take the time to help you.
It does work. I use it every single day.

Im using Morphine profile with 4.33, On Start up I get as far a Start 2 and watch the rpm spool up to 20 then move both throttle’s forward from off to idle and nothing happens, I cant seem to sort it ,any help would be greatly appreciated
Kind Regards Aeronut -
In the configuration (f4patch), go to the “Hardware” section and activates the “Iddle Cutoff” box. Save the changes and see if the problem is resolved.

Thanks for the files, and the effort to put these together.

Thanks so much for this profile, I only just got my Warthog HOTAS and TARGET was giving me a brain ache. Ex CH user  Took an age to get 4.32 sorted for that setup (many thanks to frederf) really weren’t looking forward to a repeat.
Much respect and best regards.

Hi, does anyone know if the key combination for the ‘spotlight’ is active in this profile, and if so, what the key press is? I think the callback is SimSpotLight, I see this is mapped to Shift + Ctrl + L. But rather than toggling the spotlight, this rotates the Primary Instrument Panel lighting Knob on the Lighting Panel. The one I’m after is the torch type light that can be switched on with a keyboard combination once the ELEC Panel switch is set to MAIN PWR or BATT. Very useful for a night ramp start.

Finally!! Thank you Morphine for this profile! My mouse cursor is working now. BMS is still much different than AF but at least most of the HOTAS functions I was used to are available on the Warthog. I still may go back to the Cougar though. There’s a lot to be said for using the Viper TQS.

Thanks a lot Morphine for your profile, I am new and is very usefull using yours.
I tried to read all the posts to check if a doubt I have was covered and I found nothing. It is the following: When I land with the Falcon I need to unblock the front wheel to drive the plane. To do that I need to press SHIFT -. Can you advice how can I introduce that comand in the Hotas? Doing through the keyboard is a bit unconfortable because I need to free my hands from the Hotas.
-
The callback is present in Morphines profile, it’s ‘SimMissileStep 4 -1 -2 0 0X0 0’
Nose wheel steering is activated by weight on the front landing gear?, WOW (weight on wheels)
-
Thanks Steve but I do not get your point.
-
The SimMissileStep callback also toggles NWS on and off when there is WOW.
In your FalconBMS4.33/Docs/BMS Manuals folder you will find T.O. BMS1F-16CM-1. Check pages 53 and 133.
The example above has the callback mapped to DX4, which is the missile step button S3 on the hog joystick.
Edit; That should be missile step button S1.

Range knob – has anyone gotten this to work?
Under Morphine’s profile, this is mapped to the China Hat switch but I cannot get it to work at all. It is configured correctly in the sim and I can see the blue bar go forward/backward in the Controllers -> Advanced menu but it does not work in the 3D pit.
I’m back to this question.
Received the same problem. China Hat doesn’t work - even if I keep him pressed for 2, 3, 5 or more seconds.BTW great profile Morphine

There are two working versions now. You can either use Morphine’s script with Boxin’s updated keymap.
Or use the new default keyboard layout with an updated target script. Either way the HOTAS functions are the same as Morphine’s original, the difference is in the keyboard layout.
Peter, also if win 10 is changing your key bindings, it’s because windows is re-enumerating the device at start up. Falcon sees this a new device and loads the default profile. If you want it to stay the same, once you get everything set up in game and hit save. Go to your BMS install and under User\Config find axismapping.dat and Joystick.cal and set them to read only. That way if a new joystick is detected it wont overwrite your setup. Just remember to turn off read only if you want to change something.
Per China hat function:
I have never had a problem with this. Try this and see if it works, make sure the TGP is SOI, set the TGP to one of the thermal modes, push the china back and forth. Some times you have to wake the axis up. -
I am also having the same china hat prob as mel-i. Reading your post does this mean range changing using the china hat only works with a targeting pod? We have to change ranges manually for instance when using A-A radar modes?
Best regards.

Fubar2NinerThe china hat changes the TGP FOV zoom, not radar range.

Fubar2NinerJust to add to Steve’s reply, In AG mode when the radar is SOI, the China hat will adjust the radar gain. In AA mode it has no effect. If you wish to increase the radar range slew the cursor to the top or bottom. Pages 28 and 29 of the dash 1 manual show the throttle layout.

Oh man thanks you very much…:)
