p137 line23: attack azimuth -> impact azimuth ; because of JDAM i think the impact azimuth is right.
Thanks,

Is there already an estimate as to when the training manual will be completed?
-
why, did you already master it all?
3-4 weeks is the answer you’ll get

No I didn’t, I was just curious

What caught my eye (finally) was the instruction on manually setting the UHF radio frequency during the first sweep.
How can you do this without any power (not even battery power) applied to the systems?
-
Point 1 of the Before engine start is Main PWR switch to BATT
Point 6 of the Before engine start is communications all set to assigned UHF backupSo by the time you set the BUP UHF radio, your aircraft battery is ON and it works
So i don’t see any error in there -

Yep you’re right. A step is missing in the left console steps
Thanks -

ThanksNow I’m really confused as I pointed to the same “issue” as SLangner
in the first post.Cheers,

Hello to everyone,
I’m new to Falcon BMS, and still trying to start my F16 from a cold&dark status. I’m following step by step the training manual (TE mission 1, ramp start), but none of my avionics starts. For instance, when I get to step 1.1.4 (page 11 in the manual), the DED is supposed to be on, but mine is completely dark. Of course I turned the battery on (first on BATT, then on MAIN PWR), and, even if not mentioned at this point of the manual, I also tried to switch on all the “avionics power” buttons on the right panel, such as the UFC power, etc…. Other electrical parts are on (i.e., alarms, battery light, etc…) are fine.
So, in other word, some parts of my F16 seem to be powered, but the entire central console stays dark.
Do I have perhaps to wait longer? Or is there some button that I haven’t found?
Thanks for any help
Bob
p.s.: apologies if this is the wrong forum… I thought it was the most appropriate but please suggest me if I should post it somewhere else -
Ah, that’s poor phrasing on the manual, apparently. The DED should not be on at this point - but if it were and you were still in BACKUP, the image in 1.1.4 is what you would saw when entering COM1.
You power on the UFC (and thus the DED) after starting up the engine, at 1.2.3. There is a slight delay in between you pressing the switch and the DED screen going online.

it is already fixed in the next version indeed.

Thanks,
but that brings to another problem: even if I power up all the avionics, still nothing happens. I think I might have a problem in starting the engine: after starting the JFS, RPM go up to approx 20%, but even if I push throttle forward nothing else happens - no hyd pressure, no more RPM, the fuel dial shows 000000. Perphaps if the engine is not correctly started the avionics don’t power up? If so, where am I wrong with the engine? Thanks again

Page 12: “At that point check that the SEC caution light is off and move the throttle forward (or click the idle detent) and monitor lights and engine gauges”.
If you’ve not got the ‘Idle Cutoff’ option ticked in Configuration (from Launcher) > Hardware you will need to press the idle detent key (usually ALT + i).

Quick question – seeing as we don’t know when the “next version” of BMS will be released, is there any chance of getting a fixed version of the PDFs ahead of time please?
-
Thanks Darkman, I had already tried with ALT-I, I will give it another try and double-check the config.
What about the fact that my fuel gauge reads 00000? Reading and hands do not move no matter the position of the fuel selector (not even in TEST). Does the gauge start working only with the engine on?

No mate sorry.
1. we are part of a team and we act alongside the team organisation
2. it’s already very complicated to keep track (BMS still evolves) we don’t want to make it more complicated with intermediary versionsYou guys will have to be patient
