Feedback BMS-Training.pdf

Time permitting i will add them as well. Hopefully i can squeeze a few before the next revision but to be honest time is really tight maintaining all manuals with the ongoing development of BMS alone.

Thanks, problem solved. The ALT-I clearly doesn’t work for me, I have checked the “cutoff idle” option in the the configurator and now everything powers up regularly, incl the fuel gauge.
Once I’m here, let me drop another question: I can’t access the AIR COND panel because the view is hidden by “something” (haven’t yet figured out what it is). Is there any way of moving this obstruction away, or move my point of view in the 3D view?

we are planning to attack both columns with a pair of JSOWs in trail, it’s best to fire JSOWs at INS steerpoints rather than cursor positions, so we need to mark both centres of the columns and use them as our attack INS steerpoints. As both attack axes are different, we’ll set the first two bombs for the 315¡ã column, ripple the first two JSOWs, then program the SMS for the next column axis before releasing the last 2 bombs.consider about this situation, i think it should be two?
Edit RD: corrected in next version (rephrased)
The text is actually correct.
If you’re attacking both columns with a pair of JSOW’s it’s implied you’re using one pair per column. You can either attack the columns with two pairs of JSOW’s, or both columns with a pair.
Also you don’t need to use TMS Up to designate the target in the CCRP tutorial, and it does indeed appear that you need to TMS Up the second AGM65G fired at the bridge, otherwise it heads into the river.

Pretty sure if you hold the middle mouse button you can move the viewpoint around.

The something is an armrest. If you look further back towards the right side of the cockpit, further aft, the left hand side of your monitor should show the panel coming into view.

Thanks to both Tomcat84 and Blu3Wolf, both solutions worked (better the first one - I was looking for a way to move the point of view but hadn’t found it yet).
I am more or less fully able to run a ramp start now, but still get confused when starting a TE mission with the clock running and the three options “RAMP”, “TAXI”, “RUNWAY”. By trial and error, I figured out that I can’t click on anything while the clock counts down from T-30 until T-20. At T-20 I can click on “RAMP” but not yet on “TAXI”, which only becomes available ony at T-4. I couldn’t find any reference to this behavior on the manual, and am not yet sure that I got it right. If so, what is the purpose of waiting for the countdown from 30 to 20? And why does the countdown itself slow down when approaching 20 and 4? Any explanation would be highly appreciated. Thanks!

you can click on the fly button at any time.
Once you click, the counter accelerates
Depending on the ramp/taxi/ runway option the timer will count down differently
ramp: tot-20
taxi: tot-4
runway tot-2
if memory serves rightin MP, counter accelerates from the moment all players have committed to either option
you can alos change the counter speed manually with the Arrow next to the clock -
Hi Red Dog,
not sure that what you say applies to me. in the TE training mission, after I hit “take off” I get to a screen with only three options: “RAMP”, “TAXI”, “RUNWAY”, and a countdown clock on top starting at T-30. I can’t change in any way the clock, and in order to start from the runway I have to wait until the clock goes down to zero (slowing down in the last few seconds), and only thereafter the simulation starts.
I am wondering if this is the intended behaviour, i.e, the same that happens to all of you, and out of curiosity what is the reason.
BTW, I can’t see no “fly” button (unless you refer to the one in the previous screen, where I can also select all the mission parameters)

Not to speak for Red Dog but that is the normal sequence of things for Training Missions. If you pick the Ramp start it will click down (the clock) to 20 mins to T/O) This allows you to practice the engine start procedures, added bonus to taxi to the active runway. If you select Taxiway that’s where it will start engine running systems up and you must Taxi a short distance to the active runway 2 mins should do the trick. If you chose the Runway then your clock will run to T/O time and your jet is ready for takeoff. Cancel will take you back to the UI screen. For a TE mission if you built one, or select one, then when you enter the clock is running and you can control the clock with the dropdown menu arrows so you can review the mission prior to flight. Hope that answers your question.

Thanks again. I have one last question (for now ;)). How do I arm the seat??? Somewhere I read to look on the left hand side of the seat, but can’t click on anything. There is a sort of green handle, but is not clickable. Same for what looks like a sliding cursor. I must be looking in the wrong place. This is the very last “on” light that I have in my PFLD before taking off … anybody can point me in the right direction? I think I can also use SHIFT-E, but if there is a lever somewhere I’d like to know

BobYes, it is on left side of the seat. Just move the mouse around the handle until it becomes active.

Thanks, I don’t know I can have missed it!

Closing this topic as it’s now irrelevant as these issues were addressed in the update1 revision
If need be, let’s create a specific topic for the new update 1 revision docs.
