SimShaker for DCS World and Falcon BMS support thread
-
After reading this thread getting one (JS 908) delivered tomorrow.
Great! Can’t wait for mine to get here! Enjoy my bass transducers with SimShaker, but can’t wait for the JetSeat.
-
It’s here!!! Thank you very much Andre, it is so far exactly what I was hoping for! I see what you guys are saying about it having a low level hum when it is on, but overall it is more quiet than my bass transducers, great positional effects! I think I’m going to be in the no G effects until over 1 crowd like Obi1. One question, if I wanted to invert the roll effect to more simulate Gz (lateral) axis, is there a way in UW editor or is that a software only thing?
FWIW, my 3rd Space Vest also arrived today. I’m going to start a different thread in it, but it’s like Christmas here!

Good news
Cheers!I think you can invert roll effect sides using UW editor.

Ok,
My jetseat arrived today but I can’t get it to work at all.
Installed SimShaker for DCS World and Falcon BMS setup file (recommended for air combat enthusiasts)
All other software etc up to date and installed.
Other required software
Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 link
JetSeat Control Panel and Massage App setup
Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 (for Falcon BMS support only) linkAntivirus off during install.
Uninstalled/reinstalled both sets of software several times.
When I plug in the USB lead I get “device not recognised”
In the jetseat control panel it shows disconnected. The handheld controller shows power on when I press the motors button it flashes. No activation of the motors at all.
Any ideas please???

Had the same issue. Seemed I had a bad controller.
Check if the controller is connected correctly (all pins are in correct position and not bent or anything and well connected to the seat part). -
Thanks but pins ok. Even with a jiggle.

Did you install the Gametrix drivers?
Also I would wait for Andre’s opinion, but there is a way to reload the firmware: http://dreamsimteam.blogspot.ru/p/trick-1-if-youd-like-to-make-gametrix.html?m=1 -
Snake,
I installed the jetseat control panel & everything listed on the software page.
Unless I can get the drivers elsewhere? And copy “wait for Andre”
Thanks for the quick replies gents. I’ll check back later. Early start for me in the morning zzzzz
P.s. As my PC was in the process of shutting down the motors in the seat could be heard vibrating slightly. Just incase that helps anyone.
But did not work at all during test/massage mode. -

Hi Alan,
please, don’t worry, we’ll solve the problem.
Could you please try:
other USB port,
other PC,
switch to sound mode? How to switch to Sound Mode:
- Plug JetSeat’s 3.5 mm male jack into soundcard output as if it was a Butckicker,
- plug headseat into JetSeat’s 3.5 mm female jack,
- press and hold MODE button at JetSeat’s control unit for 3 seconds. LED color changes. That’s it.
4)Adjust vibration level by rotating big black knob at control unit or via JetSeat Control panel App.
Note: keep your ears safe while setting it up.

Hi Andre,
Check email please.

Just got mine delivered (darn post). Will install and report soon. What scares me, if 908 in usb mode appears as DX input device it can scramble the current dx order…

It isn’t game controller so it won’t mess it up, no worries!

Oh my. Oh my!
Ok, install was super simple, no drivers needed, installed jetseat control panel, tested it works in usb mode (did not connect any soundcard wires), installed simshaker and enabled bms in options.
Then i flew.
Oh my. Took me by surpise. Especially ‘g-effects’ in tight turns.
Wow. This thing is amazing. Wow.
And yes, there’s a ‘hum’. But that’s engine runningOFF TO FLYING THIS BEAST!!!

Crap, I wasn’t in a hurry to get the one I just ordered
but now I can’t wait any longerThe package is on its way to you

Flew 4 missions as of now. Oh yes, i’d say the simshaker simulation is near-perfect. Especially for the price.

Glad to hear you like it so much! I really like mine too. Fun to see someone’s experience that hasn’t played with bass transducers love it. Sorry if I sound a little more low key, since I had bass transducers first so it is an evolutionary for me instead of revolutionary that you guys getting the JetSeat are having. But it is a big evolution step for me too!
It isn’t just a fun thing for you guys on the fence, it definitely helps your flying. It gives you more of that seat of your pants feeling you get flying. So not only is it less “sterile” of an experience, you are also getting more feedback of what your plane is doing without looking at your instruments as much, which is how you should fly VFR.
I really do love mine and won’t go back to just bass tranducers! I think I may build my smaller tranducers into a different place to give more shake to my arms or feet and the cool thing is that SimShaker will allow the dual output!
-
Low key? Don’t have to worry bro It’s your and others’ contribution to this thread that made me get this thing.
And yes, definitely very informative feedback seat provides. I can feel AOA, pitch etc without even looking at the hud/instruments now. -
Question to Andre: i see simshaker app always connects somewhere at startup. Will it work offline?
