Ok, how to install?
-
Hello, apologise if this already amswered somewhere, but I could not see any simple, do this, then that instructions for installing new bms update UI.
-
I have 4.33 installed now: do I delete it all and run the new update? Or do I leave it and install the new UI update over it?
-
I first install the original F4 game, which I have from the original release. Do I have to patch it, or just leave it as it installs from the disc?
-
do I have to install the new UI update in the same directory as the F4 installed game so it can check the Exe file?
Thanks in anticipation.

BMS manual, install chaper, your doc folder
BMS 4.33 Update 1 is a stand-alone version and does not need to be installed on top of BMS 4.33.

Please note: the Falcon BMS 4.33 U1 Setup Wizard will not try to locate a Falcon 4.exe file, as it was the case prior to BMS 4.33 Update 1; it will now automatically check for a valid install of Falcon 4.0. If the Setup Wizard is unable to find a valid Falcon 4.0 install it will display an error message and stop:

We don’t mention any patch needed. It’s not an omission. It’s just simple. As for 3, No
F4 original and BMS are two separate things. the later needing the former to be installed. Install Folders MUST be different
We didn’t state this in the manual but you have a rundown of installation folder with DEFAULT name folders. I guess default means that if you use them, it should work, shouldn’t it?The next step is to choose a game installation folder – again ensure it is different from the Setup folder.
Please note: you must use only printable ASCII characters in the path or Setup will refuse to proceed. Please use the manuals, there were not made to look good on shelves, they were done to be used.
They are available from separate download, before install in the documentation forum -
Manuals are awesome work, RD.

Ditto RD

Thanks for that. Appreciate they are in the manuals but so much simpler having it explained above.

It can’t be simplier, it’s faster for you. because you don’t have to search for the info.
Yet you missed dozen things you may have learned from the manuals trying to find that info
And in this case we lost our time writing the manuals -
Yea, alright Red Dog. Point taken. Just trying to get my simple head around this beast. Didn’t notice the ‘documentation’ link and I probably should have. No probs: I’ve ordered the manuals and will spend hours reading them. Thanks for your help anyway!

I have original Falcon 4.0 installed but received error message "A License copy of Falcon 4.o must be installed on this system (Stand alone or as part of the Falcon Collection) in order to install and run this mod. Please Install a licensed copy of Falcon 4.0. I’m installing Falcon BMS 4.33 U1 setup. Is there a workaround since I have a licensed original Falcon 4.0 installed? Need help.

Just to be sure: Original Falcon 4.0 is not Falcon 4 Allied Force, right.
-
@Badger Correctomondo dude. LOL I just had to say it. You are correct. F4 AF is a different product.(I miss the pilot being in the cockpit soo much) You need either the original F4 via the original CD or one the sanctioned digital versions. Think GOG or Steam.
