BTW i check ac.dat, find a line " aiLandingoffset -500"… i change -500 to -250(distance from lod zero point to ai AC touchdown point?), and make my AI ac landing success rate up to 100%(ac with or without AFM)(previous rate around 66%, hitbox X minimal is rear end deck value-100~-110).

The aiLandingoffset is NOT used when AI is landing on carriers.
So this will not help you here. You have to setup the carrier correctly.The aiLandingoffset is used by AI while landing on runways depending on the weather.
If the weather is bad, the aiLandingoffset is ignored, if the touchdown point of the runway is set correctly, the AI will touch down at the touchdown markers. This is 1000’ behind the threshold.
If the weather is good, the aiLandingoffset is used and the AI touches down earlier, closer to the threshold.This fixed AI heavies flying through the approach lights. All ac have been set, so better not change these values

bigger ships seem do better deck operation.

in this case ship hitbox(X, Z value) is exactly the dimensions of 3d model, i did not extend X value to create invisible rear deck.
AI harriers can take off and landing properly…

test [cockpitwing model] and related Ckptart file(Add a NEW ac pit folder in Art/ckptart folder)…
now comes the problem…
if i place my NEW ac pit folder in [Default BMS4.33U1 Art/Ckptart folder], it looks ok as pic above.
if i place my NEW ac pit folder in my [Add-on KOREA TEST/Art/Ckptart folder], it uses default F-16 cockpit and wing model!?
my theaterdefinition file has been edited like this to re-direct Art folder:

Both won’t work. re-start BMS, switch theater back to default, then switch back… all in vain. i can only get good result by placing my new file in Default BMS ART/ckptart folder… not in theater-addon specific Art folder.

Is it FF Gripen LOD conversion? It is beautifull. -
CAn you say something about the DOF’s. Are there copy/ paste between same AC but different 3d modell?
I have a Gripen C modell with higher polycount , but there isn’t dof’s on it.
Can I use your DOF in my modell?
OR do I send to you my modell and put the game? -
Some of this stuff looks great guys. Keep it up.

Any Gripen model is welcomed. But I personally love exactly this polycount and if it comes with lo-res pit it is even better/amazing.

Is it FF Gripen LOD conversion?the gripen is my low poly 3ds, further tweaked and processed by FF team and added in FF3. later was replaced by higher poly model. i dig it out from old disc, add some BMS tweak and new DOF edits, plus a rough new skin. A cockpitwing lod is created to go test with it.

BTW high poly model animation better be done with 3ds max, not LE.

My highest bit is it reads Korea and gets confused or some files are missing from korea test folder so it goes back to default korea.
Also check your #.
Maybe there is one more messing with the what is comment or not. -
i do more tests and it seems ckptart folder is not switchable thru theater-switching mechanism.
Addon-Israel has its own Art folder and files, i copy and paste a ckptat folder in Israel Art folder from original BMS, then add a Lavi ckptwing model file…no go. the new files must be placed in default BMS Art/ckptart folder to work.
Not a big issue…i can manually switch my edited ckptart folder…LOL.

with quick build 3d pit…
the co-pilot head moves, engine nacelles act as AV8 nozzle.
the canopy frame is continuous - it looks broken as view point too close to frame.

I’ve added a shitload of low-polys into a test DB focusing on Falkland/South America area.
The added items includes latest Falkland lod zip, plus old mirage/kfir variants I built for Tweety’s Peru theater, vehicles and ordance used in south America forces like Sao Paulo carrier, f5EM, derby, MAA-1/MAR-1, etc. most flyable ac have dedicated cockpitwing models as the screenies shown in previous posts. Carrier task forces cover invincible, hermes, 25 de mayo, Sao Paulo, hms ocean and atlantic convoyer… working obj edit thanks to Nuno Santos. and thanks nove for cool MANPADS lods.
As the “adding lods and skins job” has come to an end, the next stage is DB-editing, which I really don’t want to touch.
If anyone good at DB editing and seriously want to take the editing job, please let me know.
If nobody take the job, I’ll keep messing the DB up for a while, then release at a later date.
BTW, it’s cool to have a TE with all carrier task forces added, then do takeoff-landing visits(and refueling) among small carriers!

If, by DB editing, you mean hardpoints, loadout, weights and stuff in F4Browse, I can do that for you. I have a week-off coming-up at the end of June and all of Jane’s from 1950-2009.
