Waypoints are changing - different that planned

While in the UI, before clicking “Takeoff”, try double clicking the mission in the frag order and double clicking your seat in the flight. Do this after you save the DTC, select your load-out, and finalize steer points. See if that helps.
Found out about this in multi-player. Don’t know the origin of the procedure nor the reason for it, but seems to ensure a good DTC and load-out.
I’m rather certain that the developers have stated numerous times that Falcon does not recognize “double-click,” and that everything is just a single-click.
Please don’t spread more Falcon rumors about what is required to make the game work properly. Much like the “everyone has to set the same bandwidth” nonsense.
-
Well, it’s true. If you double click your flight in the frag order windows, it will actually update you flight info.

Whether true or not it certainly doesn’t hurt anything to double click, so don’t make it sound like its detrimental in any way if you decide to do so just for insurance purposes

If you say double click is not a solution, do you know what is?

Maybe, I think….Be sure to properly do the procedure to save pre-planned target stp.
While in the UI, load the DTC and verify that your other personal settings (EWS, MFD and even Radio Freq that you might want to save) are there.
Recon your target, select the target, change the STP to your convenience and hit ACCEPT,
SAVE the DTC, Re-load the DTC and verify that your target is Always there.
Do the same for the other targets.
Very important, NEVER hit SAVE before a LOAD command of the DTC : in this case the DTC will be saved EMPTY.
Look on the Manual at the DTC section (number 6); it contains useful information about to use and make profit of it.

generally I do this like you posted, but to be absolutely sure I will try today in the evening step by step. Thanks for help!

Despite what the manual says, I’ve never ever hit the load button before setting up and saving my DTC, and I’ve never had a problem.
-
The other thing I can see is related to System Delta and its effect on INS/EGI , section 3.1.3, page 140 of -34 manual.
Try a Cursor Zero before any attempt to pickle weapon on target and check if the STP will move to another point….
But if you have strange behaviours after the Ramp Start should be something different.
Next step could be a call to the witch doctor… -

If you say double click is not a solution, do you know what is?
The Falcon UI does not understand the difference between a single-click, and a double-click. So there is no need to “double-click” anything. People like to spread misinformation, which contributes to rumors and troubleshooting “tips” which have absolutely nothing to do with the issue at hand.
Troubleshooting remarks such as “Did you double-click your frag and seat?” ….“No.”…“Well you have to double-click it; try that.”
So people can roll their eyes, post memes, and do whatever they want about it, but those are the same people who contribute WRONG information to the community. Maybe they like contributing to ignorance and wive’s tales, but I do not.
Your best bet to resolve this issue is to make sure only one person is adjusting waypoints in the UI - typically a Flight or Element lead. Before you actually Commit, you should make sure you’ve clicked on your ATO flight and seat - just one click on each is perfectly fine. I’m not sure as to the veracity of AMVI_Hawk’s statements regarding the potential to save an “empty” DTC, as I have not had that experience. If you have a critical target, I’d write down the pertinent information on a piece of paper.

We do the same. Especially if flight lead changed the flight path/steerpoints. If I don’t select my flight again I will get the old flight path sometimes.

I had worn the same pair of socks every time I connected to a multi-player BMS session and never had any problem connecting. Then, my wife washed my BMS socks. Next time …. BAM!! … connection issue. :dammit:
So, my advice, based on the evidence, is to NEVER wash your BMS socks if you play multi-player, otherwise you’ll have connection issues.
$0.02. ymmv.
PS, I am not superstitious by nature, but this is just too freaky.

Whether they double click or single click, it still solves the problem so I don’t believe this is spreading bad information. The solution is making sure you have your flight selected and your spot in the flight. Sometimes you do have to click the little jet more than once to get the seat (i.e. someone just left that spot). So by making a habit of doubling clicking you are just making sure you have the flight selected and the seat. It doesn’t harm anything. On the other hand if you say never to wash your socks before you do MP, then…

-Wizard-,
I don’t have anything personal against you, but your first post on this thread was intended to take me down a notch by accusing me of spreading rumors. Not true. I make every effort to help someone when I have the opportunity to do so.
I explained what I had been told in the past, and also explained that I was unsure what the procedure actually does. What I do know, is that doing so keeps me from having the issue the OP was concerned about. If one click would suffice, then that is all you had to say.
There was no reason to vent it out on me, thus the meme.
In light of Demo’s explanation, I am going to continue to double-click. I will probably still advise others to do the same.
Different strokes for different folks.
Cheers!

You are mistaken that my post was meant to take you “down a notch.”
The Falcon UI does not recognize the difference between a single or double-click of the mouse, and people should not continue to tell folks that they have to double click anything to make it work. There are numerous (stupid) things that I’ve listened to people in various Wings/Teamspeak servers tell others what they have to do to make Falcon work properly, and it’s pretty simple to stop. All it takes is for people to stop spreading things around that aren’t true. A prime example is the nonsensical claim that everyone must input the same bandwidth. It’s been directly refuted by the people who wrote the multiplayer code, and yet there are ignorant people out there who still believe they’re right, and the developers are wrong.
Perhaps you know better, perhaps you don’t. Either way, there’s no need for a double-click. If you really want to help people when you can, then I’d presume you also want to give them correct information.

Okay, it’s pretty obvious that this “same bandwidth” issue has you pretty riled up, and I will make sure to spread the word that this is just plain wrong and detrimental to the spirit of the game.
Are there any bugs that I should know about, if I am using the same bandwidth as another and/or all other online players?
Thanks in advance!

Who are you to tell people what they should and what they shouldn’t do or say. It’s quite obvious with the following posts to your original post about double clicking(which by the way drives you NUTZ, LOL, you probably pass out when you’re next to someone who is on the internet and they double click an active link!!! OMG, YOU DON’T have to double click ), that’s there’s absolutely nothing wrong with double clicking, none, nothing……NADDA!! A BMS Admim even piped up and said so, but you continue to go on about it!! WOW
Settle down, I thought the thread Police over at the old FrugalsWorld were overboard, but you’re making them look like Keystone Kops!!
Wow, can’t believe so much muss and fuss over nothing.
If it drives you up a wall, just like the other stuff, and it sounds like it’s a lot, like possibly over a million times, stupid things you have heard other people telling each other, than maybe it’s time you take a break from reading the forums and hanging out with VFW’s and sitting on TS listening to it all. Do yourself and everyone else a favor, take a break please.
