Tdc not working?
-
guys when i click TDC nothing happens……any ideas why?
-
Because F-16 HOTAS doesn’t work like F/A-18 HOTAS.
-
OK BUT HOW CAN I MOVE IT?
-
I’d start by not yelling

Based on the present callbacks for BMS, I’m pretty sure you can’t make the FCR cursor control work much (if anything) like and actual Hornet TDC. Not without a lot of work with shift keys…across Master Modes…maybe…but I doubt it.
Other than for making designations, it will control the radar cursors using Microstick x/y axes…I assume you’ve gotten that much? Or not, because you aren’t complaining about cursor drift yet…

what i mean is that if i click with mouse it does not work……so do i have to set something else ? being new i have no idea …
-
there is no mouse click in the F-16. To select the item on your cursor, you need to use TMS up.
Check TO-BMS1F-16CM-1.pdf manual in your BMS/Docs folder pages 55-56 on the TMS functionality of the stick. -
i apoligize…. tdc is wrong name , i meant DCS…
-
there is no mouse click in the F-16.
Can we PLEASE stop with the “there is no xx in the F-16” bullshit please? We are NOT flying an F-16, we are using a simulation on a PC and there is ALWAYS going to be limitations. This realism snobbery is becoming a joke.

Jeez, take a chill pill dude. If that’s the attitude, go fly H.A.W.X or something.
I wasn’t pointing out there is no mouse in the F-16. I was pointing out there’s no such thing as a mouse click as I assumed he maybe mixed up the cursor enable click on the cursor of the throttle to act as a designator on the fcr. That’s why I mentioned TMS up & pointed to the relevant part in the manual.
If you don’t like the attitude, go cry somewhere else will ya. This yapping on someones post without actually contributing to the discussion or question of the OP is becoming a joke… -

What do you mean? I can’t find TDC nor DCS in the manuals. Can you explain what exactly you want to do/happen?

The DCS switch is a 4 way switch and it is located near the bottom of the ICP (that’s the pad of numbers and various other buttons just below the HUD).
So Dave, to clarify…is the issue that you can’t click that switch?

Don’t assume things, seek clarification. You think either actually contributes? Think again…

Fine by me. I’m bugging out. Got better things to do.

“TDC” is the proper name for the “radar cursor controller” in a Hornet - “Target Designator Controller”. Just to try and clear some confusion…
-
Post #17 and I still don’t understand the question.
-
…I’ll take a whack. Because he said “TDC” I expect he thinks that is going to make a target designation. It’s not - not in the F-16, and not in BMS. If he really wants DCS->depress to work like a Hornet TDC, he’s going to have to do some keyfile or programming gymnastics.

hello focal, first thank for your patience.
i meant DCS (DATA CONTROL SWITCH) on ICP panel , that if i left click with the mouse (GREEN LITTLE CROSS ON IT) nothing happens, so i cannot go back to cni page of ded ;seems no RTN or SEQ function works……so how am i supposed to make it work? i cannot even select a valid tacan or ils freq…

Aha, been a while since I used the mouse pointer on the 3D ICP but if I recall correctly, you can’t click the switch itself but you need to left click the 4 labels surrounding the switch. So click on RTN, SEQ, arrow up, arrow down to have a functionality working. You’ll notice the cursor changing into another icon when you are over the clickable part, just like it changes when hovering over another clickable switch or button.
