Hi mrwell
Just stumbled over this thread… Don’t know if you’ve found it, but I guess this is the link:Best Regards
ZoomOut;) -
Thank you very much. I couldn’t find it

But it’s 10 kOhms, shouldn’t it be 100? The Bourns one I posted earlier (http://pl.mouser.com/Search/ProductDetail.aspx?qs=Ivs1Be2ZGq6BrJBXLYE2Gg%3d%3d) works very well. I needed to file it’s pcb a bit (it was too big) but after that it works great. And has very nice, very hard center detent.

Guess you’re right og_wolf. My bad:roll:

Does anyone have a readme for removing the ANT pot?
Edit: nevermind, sorted it Cheers

Now that we have a viable source for the Antenna pot, real challenge is finding a replacement Range pot/switch started combo. Rarer then hens teeth?

From the email I received from Thrustmaster a few months ago, the Range Pot was still available.
#6000196 POT 270S1800 THROTT.FCT HOTAS: 12 Euro
Double Potentiometer and Range Axis
Here is a link to my previous post:

Stevie,
Compatible with the Cougar I assume… great price.
-
Same part as Thrustmaster sells, so yes - direct replacement. Hardest thing to come up with was the part number for the pot - all I did was Google the part number posted here, and this was the first hit.
-
Hm… it looks very similar. But I’m not sure if it’s the same. Thrustmaster part number mentions 270S1800 and this is 270X232A103B1B1. It means nothing but what bothers me is 10k Ohm vs 100k Ohm. This is 10k and from what I know Cougar TQS uses 100k parts. Do we have any electronics engineers here who can tell us if this difference matters or could be eliminated by adding some resistors (or sth) to the circuit?
I should have some spare RNG pots in home and if i recall correctly I received two different ones from TS some time ago. I’ll try to find some manufacturer/part number markings on them later.
-
The 104B1B1 is 100k
-
Hmmm also there where at least 2 different pcb’s of the throttle. Could this be also a considerable factor?

…crap…I’ll get this right one day…these are 100K Ohm, but I don’t think any of them have detents -
There’s lots of different 10K Ohm ones out there, with detents.
But for good measure…
