Have your sounds installed…amazing bro Thank You!!!

That’s actually quite nice

Wow that flyby was awesome… I really wish we could get a frightening sonic boom like in DCS too

Question: will this work if dragged into the Balkans and Israel theaters as well…? or is there more that needs to be done with f4sndtbl.txt for those theaters

Yep it should have the same exact folder structure within “Addon Balkans” and it works just like the “Data” folder for stock Korea.

Thanks everyone, seemed the afterburner needed a new life. Thomas6698 made some changes to the f4sndtbl in his so I combinded the two - really, you can set what you want to suit your preference.
I’ve ended up modifying the settings he used slightly but on the whole it’s taken care of some extra jet noise’ that would hang around long after the jet has gone that I had initially - namely the ‘MaxFeet’ which is now set to 30000 and DOES seem to fade off…which is great.
You can copy paste the below into the f4sndtbl file which is just a txt file you can edit in notepad.
39 External Engine Roar - heard mostly from the rear Inside Cone OutSide Cone Attenuation
engines\fighter\f-16\SndAbExt.ogg 0 0 30000 0 1000 -10000 ELFHCR 0 0 0 0 0 -1500

You can’t have a good fade out to the max distance because of code issues. Whatever you do, the sound will vanish suddenly (depending on you sliders settings) and that induce some very weird effects from inside the cockpit (depending on your External Sound In Cockpit slider level).
In your example above, you have completely removed the cone effect by setting it to 0 , so you can suppress the C modifier also. For info, the roar sound is to reproduce the airflow of the nozzle at low RPM (IIRC) so heard from behind only. Your setting is breaking this effect and make this sound heard from all sectors including when you are looking facing the air intake.

Ok cool, so for the values for Inside Cone and Outside cone - are they a multiplier, percentage, absolute value, etc? does it relate to the attenuation value? Thanks for your help too btw
-
They are attenuation in dB. IIRC, Outside cone = maximum attenuation / Inside cone = minimum attenuation.

Made some changes, updated the original post. I’m going to leave this one alone now, tired of testing sounds for the moment and want to get back to flying for now. Thanks for everyone’s input

This is great! Thanks. It even fixed the bad sonic boom. There is no sonic boom over 700, but at least there is a great AB flyby sound!
