4.33 Issues (Known or not)
-
Out of sheer curiosity, I checked the issue signalled above, as I have both Korea terrain tile sets (I just rename them accordingly), and, yes, there is the issue of trees on the runway in the Sokcho AB making a takeoff or landing impossible (your plane explodes at an attempt) when TomCatz’s Korea 2015 tiles are the current ones. The problem is non-existent with the stock Korea tiles.
-
obviously on the TomCatz’s Korea 2015 tiles there are trees declared in those tiles.
The thing is that those trees are supposed not to make u explode.
Unless the coexistence of 2 3d models raises or sinks the runway 3d model a bit thus making the airplane explode? (Me thinking outloud…) -
Arty - of course I’m not in a position to judge what exactly makes the plane explode, the trees on the runway or a 3D model misalignment, if you say it’s not the trees, I have no doubts you’re right. I might have associated the mishap with the presence of the trees a bit too hastily…
-
Well I don’t know either. as u see I ask - thinking loud.
If the trees are removed from the tile (clear the area on the tile from Monsters Terrain tool) and the airplane still explodes then it’s either general elevation error - problem in the specific AB, or the coexistence of the 3d models… either case is strange cause if there was an elevation problem it should crash with default tiles, unless the modded tiles include and elevation alterations, (not just the tiles). -

KTO TE: flying LN F15-229, when looking back over the jet, checking six, we can see through the jet where the speed brake is supposed to be. All in the flight had the same issue.

I had the same thing… Turned out I selected the wrong folder on the initial step of the U2 update.
The “setup” folder it asks for should be one with the “setup.exe” file present. -
Yes, as shown in the screenie, that’s where it’s pointed…

In mirage M2000-5 and M200EGM, the PFL has double fault display (one correctly displayed in 3D model and an overlay a few milometers in Front…)
I think that is a 3D model texturing mismatch between de 2000C and -5.
Cheers

4.33 U3 F-18’s speedbrake light not working when speedbrake extended, sorry if this was reported already
