I do, but i never asked before
In order of importance to me:1/ have speed vectors showing estimated position in x seconds or minutes.
I know from ATC in Belgium the line extending from the contact is in relation to the contacts ground speed. They can set a value (eg 1 minute, or 5 minutes) and the line extends to the position of the estimated new position at current GS. In that case, when you zoom in/out on the map, the vector line changes also accordingly.
In F4Awacs now the line is always the same length no matter what zoom level, so not useful for estimating future positions at given time.2/ change color of mouse cursor. I often use a greyscale of black/white map instead of coloured man, or a high contrast map and at certain points the cursor is not visible anymore (e.g. when I go from one grey value to another, for example land to see). Very very hard to make GCI calls because then I always have to click & drag to get a BE cursor line to see where my pointer was located.
3/ being able to show/hide AIspy values separately.
For example we use AIspy for red air, but alm blue air is human. When I disable AI positions, I loose red air, when I enable, I also get that annoying blue air flight lead AI position that is not entirely the same location as the human flight lead, which makes it cluttered without added value.4/ Being able to set colors to human players in batch.
Now when we have a comao with 25 players for example and I want to change the blue air colors to something that is more visible on my map, i have to change them one by one. If I loose server connection for any stupid reason (it sometimes happens), I need to do them all over again.5/ Being able to drag & drop contact information.
Now itās always on a certain position in relation to the contact. Sometimes it gets cluttered. Iāve seen a real ATC screen in Belgium where they can click on the box with data and drag it to another relative position of the contact.6/ easily export/import entire theaters including theater & custom frequencies etc. Makes it easy to distribute vSqn specific settings for a theater to all ATC/GCI people.
7/ change theater freq names in UI.
We have custom labels for our standard frequencies. Now I have changed them in a certain config file, would be nice to be able to change it the same way we can for custom freqs. -
I have some thoughts about some things that could be improved, but unfortunately, I really donāt have so much free time to work on it right now.

Yes, of course.
1. making a track (current position of an aircraft) hook-able to measure from this track bearing and range (updating numbers as now from a specific point on the map) to the cursor position
2. display all the time cursors bullseye position in the left or right bottom corner of the screen (fixed window)
3. making the labels scalable (I use a 13ā Notebook with a high screen resolution for controlling) to adapt the figures to the screen resolution
4. label deconfliction. Making the label of an track movable to avoid that labels are displayed one over an other and therefore unreadable. The controller could move a label of a track to a free and not bothering position.

Monster, do you know IVAO? Their current ATC client (v1.2.4.225) has a great UI, while still being very basic in functionality. Maybe you can take a look at the manual for some ideas. Important note, just in case: IVAO has completely developed IvAc in-house, so they obviously have a copyright over it, and Iāve known them to reinforce it, so donāt just reverse-engineer and/or copy - paste anything directly.

Kicking the dust off of this thread.
Iāve just run into a little problem and I have absolutely no clue how itās caused.

As you can see, for some unknown reason, Iāve lost all info outside of the South-Korean part.
Note: On the screenshot, the lines are still slightly visible, but this is not the case in F4AWACS.Strange thing: after changing the coastline to a more greenish colour, it IS visible (albeit at lower quality, apparently)ā¦
In case itās useful: coastline colour code is 1e281d (opacity 30%) in the first picture, and 24ff00 (opacity 3%) in the second.
Did you managed to get that image working? Could you upload it for the community ? I am very interested in it

As Iāve explained before, AISPY is a āhackā, it just reads raw memory and tries to get AI aircraft data. Usually, there are two returns of the same contact (very close to each other) because thatās what exists in memory.
I could have implemented a filter to eliminate one, by using the callsign and the position (e.g. if we already have a contact named Cowboy1 within 3nm of the new one, drop it).
The problem is with contacts named āBanditā. Since there are usually a lot of them and there is no other way to identify the contact, this method wouldnāt work. I just chose to have AISPY sent (almost) everything and let the player decide is a contact is valid or not. -
