Could be ported though… with some dance meaning coppying some original folders and deleting some from the Theater folder… Therefore you have to have allready the ff installed

This guy did it and it looks ok. I have done it to alot of pmc theaters but with lots of work arounds. the link he points you to if you want to download that is PMC link so you are back at begining.

Well indeed is doable i tried it also with the v0.9 Vietnam witch i have in my harddrive and it was working in 4.32 now i havent tried in 4.33 u2

Manos, while it would be pretty difficult to create a land grab campaign for Vietnam, an attrition campaign would much easier and would match a real world 1960’s conflict a lot better.

Ikaros, which I originally worked on the campaigns, is a lot smaller than VN.
VN in it’s current incarnation as a 128 segment theater would not work. There are issues, some can be overcome, others are more of a challenge.
Broken into 2 x 64 segment theaters may work.
At any rate, I’m working on it as you guys speak!!!
What concern’s me most though with the current state of theater mods, is to many half baked theaters out there(not to mention, multipe versions of the same exact theaters, not just 2 or 3, but more!!!). Constant updates for extremely minor issues that require constant updates and patches. People spreading themselves so far in multiple incarnations and multiple theater projects and just overlooking some of the most simple things.
It’s like every time another potential theater is just mentioned, there are people here modding other theaters and multiple theaters and they jump on anything and everything that is mentioned!! And look what we end up with. It’s beginning to resemble PMC!!
Maybe someone should do a moon or mars theater. Oh crap, I mentioned a potential theater!!!
Of course most will take that as criticism and get offended. It’s not meant to be offensive, but it certainly is the truth.

Great Idea , well I started on the moon theater and its looking good, craters are easy to map with photo real, but I’m having a hard time with the coastlines, I think I might need help !

@cloud 9 what are those things , basic things that are overlooked? Some more info would be greatly helpful for Guys strangling with the beast for the first time and even guys long time fighters but working blindly some things are not known at all.
At least a small list like one two three like a guidance with the basic stuff. -

the hard part, really, is modeling the enemy intelligence, modeling the ground engagements and the ROE. modeling the aerial highways and the MIGCAP and MIGBUSH flights in the f4. Modeling the jamming aircraft and the SAM environment.
Vietnam was a ****ing hell hole, symmetrical warfare and an unconventional guerrilla fighter on the ground. Airforce strategy went “ohhhh waaah happund!”…there were good days of 7 splashed 17s and 21s with no losses, but they were few and far…
I’d be interested in playing it…as a SAM operator. vietnam for a pilot sounds like hell.

Interesting idea. SAM-wise i think it can be done. I remember ths SP-FF era vietnaam the sams where preety deadly. U had to fly low and use terrain masking to succeed with your mission. Now that i almost finished the F-4 EJ it wont be difficult to make an early E as well… I hope someone will make it finally this theater.
