Falcon MFD Software for android tablets
-
while in the tablet the Client IP is in yellow and I can not change it, the server IP is white and I can modify. If I remember well the instructions says that when you have the right IP server it turns to yellow, but is not my case

Hello,
I also have a problem: when pressing certain keys on the tablet I get a ‘key does not match’, e.g.
192.168.2.101 -> (SimCBEOSB_10R) Key Does Not Match
192.168.2.101 -> (SimHmsSymWheelUp) Key Does Not Match- this happens for the OSBs, the JHMCS knob and the CMS Prgm and Mode knobs, also the ICP. All these are present in the keyfile
- when clicking the buttons on the “MFD” on the server program (picture below the error messages) the OSBs call the correct keys in the keyfile, so there must be something between server and tablet
- the MFD are correctly displayed on the tablet, it doesn’t seem to be a connection issue.
- In contrast, autopilot switches DO work:
192.168.2.101 -> ( SimLeftAPDown ) Ctrl + Alt E
192.168.2.101 -> ( SimLeftAPMid ) Ctrl + Alt W
(while typing these I notice that they have spaces between brackets and ‘SimLeft…’ while the ones with ‘key does not match’ do not - could that be a problem?) - I have already done clean re-installs both of the server and the apk, no joy.
Any pointers? Thanks!

PM me your email address. I will send you a keyfile that works for me. Use it to see if you still get the same issues.

The keyfile actually DOES the trick! Thank you very much!!

You are welcome. Now you just have to reassign your HOTAS to my keyfile, or copy the needed info from my keyfile to yours.

Yes, that looks like it - interestingly, those spaces I noticed seem to do with it:
with your keyfile the server’s ‘incomming (sic) Msg. List’ says
192.168.2.101 -> ( SimCBEOSB_19L ) Ctrl + Alt Num9 (ie with spaces)with the other keyfile (BMSfull and Warthog; Morphine modified for U2)
192.168.2.101 -> (SimCBEOSB_19L) Key Does Not Match (ie without spaces)Not quite sure what the reason is but it may lead to the failure…

OK, I’m getting there. Knowing now that it’s the keyfile I had a look and (I think it’s been mentioned on this thread before) one has to switch the small ‘x’ in the keycodes to capital ‘X’, then it works. Then check a second time that no ‘x’ was changed that wasn’t supposed to - the server didn’t like the switch to SimICPNeXt
Still can’t get the EWS Mode and Program knobs to work; haven’t found the correct keycodes yet.
Thanks again for the help, didn’t know where to start…

Are you using my keyfile as is…or did you modify it?
-
I’m using the keyfile I had before, just with the modification as above after I compared it to your keyfile - now it works.

Roger that. I always recommend that all buttons and functions be checked with my keyfile first. Then make changes as necessary. That way, you know that it is not a software or keyfile issue….but rather something happened during the modification process. Good to hear all is well now.

Thank you so much for this great software.
I’m having just one problem - I’m getting a lot of lag on the android tablet.
Reducing the update frequency and changing the server IP address isn’t making any different.
Can anyone suggest a solution? (Or help identify the cause of the problem?)
Thanks!

Well, in short, OMG! That was a revelation! Thanks for all the effort put into that program! Amazing!
Does anyone know if something similar exists for the panels?

Did you ever get an answer to your question? Please post if available. Thanks

komcuru advised me to reinstall the app on my android device and make sure the device and server (ie main computer) should be on the same network segment ie, my IP addresses were:
Msg 2017.01.15 18:18:11 fnkReadXML –> ServerIP : 192.168.56.1
Msg 2017.01.15 18:18:11 fnkReadXML –> AndroidIP : 192.168.1.3I think those numbers needed to be the same. Not sure how to do that though! Guess I will google it!
Thanks
