SimShaker for DCS World and Falcon BMS support thread

Please try to catch a screenshot of the flashing console app and send it to me. I need to see what’s inside the window.

I need to check which version I currently have but since a couple of days I’m experiencing trouble.
When simshaker normally starts I see 3 items in the menu bar. A green icon, a blue and then a generic icon. The generic icon is for some sort of terminal/prompt window and has something to do with reading the shared memory if I recall correctly. However since a few days the icon appears and disappears about every second, constantly. The result is that simshaker doesn’t vibrate the jetseat, and worse, my mouse focus shifts every second. I can’t click on anything anymore and in BMS every second the focus goes out of bms and the sound disappears for a second. All is resolved when I kill Simshaker.
Any idea’s? First time I’m having problems with the software since beta testing.got exactly the same behavior , strange, maybe a result of the last BMS update ?

I tried before and it’s just impossible. I think I found the culprit though.
in Yame I selected the link that is placed automatically on my desktop to autostart it with some other programs like TIR and CCP. I noticed the problem occurs when I start Jetseat from within Yame and not when manually doing it via the desktop shortcut. So I opened Yame and reselected the shortcut from my desktop and now it seems to work ok also when started from within Yame.
Could it be the previous shortcut was somehow not ok anymore after the Jetseat software has been updated? Any reason by the way I can’t find an exe file to point to instead and I can only start it by linking to the shortcut? -

Actually, every update of SimShaker is a new installation along side with the current version and deletion of the previous version.
I suggest that Yame could save the link in its own special way and the link got outdated after the update.Any reason by the way I can’t find an exe file to point to instead and I can only start it by linking to the shortcut?
That’s the way MS Click Once deploying tech works. It brings us some advantages and some problems.

Yame again?
-
not really. I´m using Lightnings MFD Extractor.
Together with YAME, first i got a huge FPS drop (down to 5-10 FPS) got no such drop with MFDE .
Now my BMS Crashes when using Jetseat together with YAME

SimShaker just reads BMS shared memory,
or does not read if outdated.
If BMS is hypersensitive to background apps, that seems to be out of my control guys. -
This combo (jetseat / yame64) works great on my end. I also gained 20fps when moving from MFDE to YAME64, so there’s no going back for me

Hey guys do you know the name of the .uwv file for ground bumps? Andre?
-
Hey Chris,
hp_4_0_1, Description = “Runway/taxiway bumps”
hp_4_0_2, Description = “Touch down”
hp_4_0_3, Description = “Belly landing”
hp_4_0_4, Description = “Runway/taxiway rolling” -
Pilots, SimShaker for DCS World and Falcon BMS version 1.1.1.49 is published. Please try and report the result.
Note: since SimShaker checks for updates in background you will be prompted to update on the second launch.Guys, the issue with BMS shared memory reader is fixed in SimShaker for Aviators v. 1.0.0.25 as well.
Just for case someone here uses it. There is still no need to switch the software.

I’d like to add SSA to my startup ps / batch script, but for the life of me I cannot find the .exe to use. The desktop shortcut doesn’t provide much info, either… I’d be thankful for any hints and ideas!
All the best, Uwe

Hi Uwe,
You can download SimShaker for Aviators.application file following the Update Information (see a screenshot attached) and add it to your startup ps / batch script -

If BMS is hypersensitive to background apps, that seems to be out of my control guys.Just for the record a short update:
After updating to the latest version of Graphic Card drivers, YAME and SSA ,everything works fine together with BMS , I´m happy with it.:headb:Only with DCS (1.5 /2.0 latest versions) i´m not able to get it running
-
Thank you for the update.
There is an SSA dedicated thread at ED forums https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3039212 -
Just bringing this up again since RedDog mentioned it over in another thread: https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?30241-Small-but-effective-idea
Some kind of tactile nudge for boom connect and disconnect might be nice. We said before that working of the indexer light bits in shared memory with using the Weight on Wheels bit to prevent from getting the nudge in the ground when turning on/off NWS. What do you guys think?Rhobee says he remembers feeling/hearing something when refueling the F-4, especially for hard “stabs” but maybe not as much for the F-16. I feel like it wouldn’t be realistic for hose+drogue but you could turn down for the gain/disable if you fly the F/A-18 a lot (not to mention DCS which would be different anyway).
-
This would an excellent addition to the software! I second the proposal.
-
Looks like we have all data needed to detect that nudge in the Shared Memory.
Well, I add it to my TODO list for this year.
