As I said I started a manual for Falcon Editor.
The progress is a bit slow and for sure I will need the Help of all the people here.
The main goal is to cover all application options and selections in a way what you see and what it does from A to Z.
The second goal will be to go deeper in to things and explain maybe objective things outs like how do I alter or create from zero a weapon and use it from a squadron or unit.First draft can be seen in this link:

I don’t know if I will be able to maintain it there for ever as it is the e-HAF ftp and I used it just to give u guys a short look and correct me or point me to the correct direction.
Please bare with me as I haven’t set any rules on terminology, and what you see are described from the user point of view as I don’t have the developer point of view.Any comment criticism is welcomed but please try to be constructive and contribute to it’s writing.
The tool used is DR.Explain and it can produce HTLM - HTML5 / PDF / CHM files. Also keys can be used and the project can be integrated - implemented to the application as those keys will provide direct link to the written info and sections.
The html version is responsive (for now). For those that don’t know what responsive is open the link on your smartphone and your pc at the same time.I don’t have any Indexes yet and Search doesn’t work for now.

I updated the HTML version adding the basic screenshots of the app and the annotation controls are cluttered and screenshots are upsized for now.
Edit 22/5/2017: Just a small update until the class table TAB which is now worked on. Also added a few Indexes.
Edit 25/7/2017: Just a small update on the class table TAB which is still worked on. Also added the Class Table Data Editor subsection. Updated the PDF file.
Edit 4/2/2018: Just a small update on various sections. Didn’t Update the PDF file.

To Dev’s and anyone interested and willing to help please you can throw here or via pm whatever text you have regarding this project.
If someone want’s to write a whole section or part of it please do so. you can see the sections in the link I posted and I can maintain a list here with which sections are done by whom to keep track and not do things twice.
Many good info also relies in this forum in threads and posts. If someone has links or an internal list or whatever that can be used please hit me…
Dev’s if you have new things coming but don’t want to go public yet just pass the text and I will fill in the screenshots afterwards. No need to be in a manual format or formal… the goal is to gather and pass the knowledge.

Nice work! I am bit busy with Nordic at the moment but I could definitely fill in some areas later on when you get to the second part of your project. I sent Biker a listing of the various fields a long time ago but explaining how they link up things would be helpful. Also, discussing how the various fields are automatically updated would also be useful in the weapons/ordnance areas.
One area that would also be helpful would, which is more of a wish list for Biker is to have a way to tally up things like shared parents . . . so one can better recognize share parents.

Some info please on the following I’m on the Class Table.
“Class: Is kind of categories for the records. Those are: Abstract, Animal, Feature, Manager, Objective, Sfx, Unit, Vehicle, Weapon, Weather, Session, Game, Group, Dialog, Other. Bold ones are used. ???”
What are the non bold for? are they used or are leftovers not working at all? Is there any info anywhere about those? or a directive?Specific: is what??? and I don’t see any naming as Type or Subtype… why? is there a reference for those numbers?
Class Data: is what???
Extra Data: is what???
ID : is what???
On Type / Subtype : has some named records on the combo box but goes down to 255 without naming. Reason? can those unnamed records be used or get named?
On Class Data Pointer I see >6 WTH. What it stands for? What The Hell? :lol:
On Mover Definition Data the Open Button doesn’t seem to do anything. Is it a wip or something else?
Entity Type Data: Spit your guts out Please… No comprento NADA.
Same for Updates and Collision (Unused) frames.
On Graphics selecting open doesn’t actually show the model… is this a wip or I’m having issues?

What I can tell you is that the “Tangible” flag is unused at this time.

Small update and I added the DR Explain gui file link.
Just in case someone wants to help.
No need to have a licensed DR Explain version.
The caveat will be that you will see a watermark on images. Once I get and save - export the GUI from my licensed version the watermark is removed.Thanks in advance.

At the moment is way low on my prio list.
If you guys want to contribute I’ll gladly update it quickly and have your names in for credits.
no need for screnshots for the main selections menus etc… they are already in the doc.No need to even have the creation tool Dr. Explain.
You can contribute like a post in this thread.
Example: hey Arty on page x or section xxx add this text and
post your text.
If you need to have a screenshot add it to your post.One demand only: what you contribute will not belong to you, neither me. It will belong to BMS team.

Well the links where hosted on my squadron ftp, unfortunately due to many logins (anonymous) the admin had to lock the folder thinking of hacks, and i was unaware of it, he forgot or didn’t knew or missed the part that those files where publicly shared. So i uploaded elsewhere.
I believe i didn’t 're upload the .gui file which opens with dr explain.
In case someone wants it just ask.
Just a reminder of you don’t have a license for dr explain it will place a watermark on pictures, also a specific older version must be used as i have licence for older version only unfortunately.

Arty, is there a way to contol the BARCAP/DCA mission created by the HQ ?
They are always at 30min, very short time, i think.
I like to extend it to an hour or more. -

This i know.
I would like that all mission made by HQ (DCA/BARCAP) will make it by default so i will not have to change every mission seperetlly.
0.5h is too short, the aircrafts are in the air, why not use it for more time (1/1.5h) ?
