+1.
With best regards,

Falcas, thanks for developing this software. I’ve only just begun to use it, so I can’t say much about it at this point. I’m running BMS 4.33 U3 and the Balkans Theatre on a one machine and would like to run WDP on a second machine that doesn’t have BMS or Balkans installed (various reasons, space mostly). I have WDP running on the second machine, but can’t open the TE .ini file that I created on the main machine and then copied to the second. I’m guessing that is because WDP wants to access BMS and Balkans data that it can’t find. I don’t want to edit anything on the second machine, just view and reference it as I fly a TE on the main machine. Is there a way to do that without having BMS installed there as well?

Hey,
WDP has been created to work stand alone, but it works better if it does has access to your BMS install. This could be through a network.
So if you can setup your 2nd PC to have access to your BMS install, go that way. WDP should be pointed to the network location and it will work the same way as if it is on the same PC.To have it working as a stand alone, you need to copy the database of the theater you are working with to the WDP/Database directory.
If you get a crash, please post the crashlog and I can take a look.

Falcas,
Thanks for your reply. Took your advice and created access via network connection. When I start WDP I get the attached error. I go ahead and click continue. WDP opens, and when I try to load any mission.ini (all of which work fine with WDP on the main machine) I’m able to point to the file, but it doesn’t load, No error message, just doesn’t load.
FYI, I wasn’t able to install WDP on the secondary machine with the installer. Saw advice you’d given another guy with the same problem, and just put the application in the program folder. It launches, but maybe that has something to do with the error?

I’m seeing differences in the weights and drag between WDP 3.7.4 and BMS 4.33.3.
WDP doesn’t take account the weight and the drag factor of the launch rails. I noticed when comparing the weights in the BMS Loadout UI and the weights of the DataCard.
Is there any way to fix?
Thanks for reading me.

Is known and already fix.

Awesome, Thanks

Seems like the newest version of weapons delivery planer (3.7 build 76) is having trouble reading weather off of FMAP files. The version of WDP before this latest one seemed to handle it just fine. Now I am getting weather reports like this:
…which don’t correspond at all to the actual in-theater weather.
-
Sorry if this is the wrong place to report this, but the website is broken. It’s just loading a blank page on both Chrome and MS Edge with no browser or server error message.
Edit: And never mind, it’s working again.

Hey, Falcas.
In WDP , I’ve noticed that precision waypoints are read as nav (most of the time, can’t figure it out) . Something wrong or by design ?
Cheers

Hey,
Sorry, not enough info to follow you here.
Do you mean on the DTC STPT page?Gr Falcas
-
Hey, Yes. Stp.9 is alternate land .- then 10-14 are precision stps. , but in DTC/STPT they are listed as NAV. … although there is ‘Precision’ type in the list (when you press ‘Change’).
But, I think I get the reason… They are in 1-24 steerpoint group list and not in 50-55/81-99, which are ‘open’ ones.
My bad , should’ve tried to put them in above >25 groups.
Right ?
Anyway.
Regards.

Well not really… This has been written before though.
Precision STPT is not how it works IRL and is done so you can have exact coordinates for a STPT. In the mission files, the STPT X/Y are saved as a KM/KM location.
They are not an option IRL as there every STPT is already an precision STPT.
The idea for the precision is to update the existing STPT to a higher precision. But a lot of people “mis-use” the precision STPT to add extra STPTs after the flightplan. This is a bit of cheating the system.Just create your Flightplan and update the coordinates of your target insided the flightplan.
Yes, but I want to use 4 STPTs to place above vehicles or building to I can find them with my TPG….
Sure, better to have them inside your flightplan and not after the last landing point. This way your fuel will be calculated correct for example.
Even be to learn how to use your weapons systems as it should be and you get much better at it overall.
Or at least you see the limitations what pilots have IRL. BMS is just not a “push the button and I hit my target” simBut in the end, everybody is free to do as he (she) likes.

Yes, It is not insta-sim , I am well aware of that… It is testing ground TE with optional targets, so no part of a original flight plan, just precision targets squeezed inside <24.

New version of WDP released, latest version is now 3.7.5.92
Plenty of new features and fixes.Enjoy,

I have just tried to use WDP 3.7.5.92 to auto populate the PPTs on the map for a TE, unfortunately it does not identify the threats along the flightplan. The TE was based in the Korea vanilla Theater Falcon BMS 4.33.3. I have checked other TEs same result!
Is there a bug with this functionality or just an issue my end? I have used previous versions of WDP and this worked great.
Cheers for any help in advance!
EDIT: Just reverted to Weapons Delivery Planner 3.7.4.76 and this works as expected.

Falcas,
Thanks for the update. Been a fan of your work since day one.Maybe someone can help clear this up for me, with regards to the Nordic Theater.
There are two theaters Nordic Theater or NTO and Old Corps or CWC
When opening a file with WDP or MC it refers to nordic or Nordic Theater which confuses me. (easily done)
Could you use the same naming conventions as the theater itself?
or at least clarify which is which? Thanks,

Confirmed there is a little issue here. Fixed soon.
