Another Hall Sensor upgrade

Certainly no reason you should have to feel pressure once you retire. Figure all things come to those who wait so take your time Sir.

Hi MilesD,
Any chance a new production run will happen in 2017?
Could use some spares just in caseGrtz

His inbox is full and can’t accept new messages. I sent him an email from his Youtube videos ([email protected]) and did not receive a reply. I even sent him a text message and didn’t get a response from that either (he posted his cell number either in this thread or the one on the DCS thread regarding his Hall sensor mods).
Sadly no one can reach him. I would love to buy some of his Hall mods too. Hope he comes back one day.

Excellent post Planehazza … how you explain, that 0.5 - 1mm play on the mechanics translates to 1-2cm play on stick on top! So correct.

i solved this problem in “unconventional” ways (ball bearing 4 axis gimbal)

I am sorry guys, Its been a really busy month with no time to work on the sensor kits. I have not even been able to get back to PMs. I will be back home on Tuesday and plan on doing another production run. Thank you for all of your patience. I am supposed to be retired and just working on this stuff, but life keeps getting in the way.
MilesAre you OK Miles?

Hey Miles, hope all is well. I am interested in a throttle Hall sensor if you are still producing them. Thanks for your work on this project.

Miles posted in the Eagle forum a few days ago:

Seems like he’s fine but too busy to do any sensor mods right now. I too hope he does another run. Missed my chance to mod my kit back in the day, now my throttle pot is drifting all over the place.

Someone with a 3D printer could easily duplicate them. Technically, a 10% change or “improvement” is considered a new design, if there was a patent in play.

I might just look into this……

Try making the wires 10% longer and\or make the pcb and mounting plate 10% bigger or add a notch or groove in the mounting plate that amounts to 10% of the plate - it should be very easy……

I may have time for the printed part, but any wiring not so much, will have to leave for the end user.

You can also throw one of your spares in the post to me if you like!

Perhaps an enquiry with MilesD? failing that, could you not make your own model\stl using the parts you already have? or maybe you could get a 3D scan done of your parts?

I could PM him, but it seems he is not available these days
I could try to model it myself, however I am a newb at this point and a scanner would be nice, but that is more $$ might be hard to bypass the wife on
I’ll search the repositories and see if MilesD has left a trail…
