Steerpoint lines heading
-
Sometimes I need to edit and change some mission steerpoint lines to a diferent heading, so, how can I calculate that heading, as I cannot found any tool for doing it ? For example when attacking runways with BLU109s, the final run must be aligned with the exact runway heading which generally doesnt happen with campaign preplanned missions

recon the target, then turn the camera so you are looking down the runway (in whatever direction) it will give you the heading right by the pan tool.
-
Also, recon the target, go through the list when you see the end of the runway that you want to attack set it as the steer point and save your DTC.
Set that course on your HSI and use the use the needles to get you on the right course for your run.
No need to edit or move lines

Use the ruler on the UI map. The azimuth and back-azimuth is shown at the endpoints.
-
The ruler tool on the map has the heading on each end of the ruler. It can be used to line up the the steer point line to a specific heading.
-
Don’t use BLU-107s down the runway centerline.
Recon, ruler, and checking the digital briefing headings for alignment.
-
And at some point, realism will dictate you not to attack down a runway axis, that’s where they expect you.

That was a very good advice, I had never use the ruler before, and is very usefull for muy purpose.-
Thanks
