Are your MFDs BLANK after change master mode? Read here
-
With Weapon Delivery Planner you can easily change your default mfd setup for each mastermode. Then you can save this in a separate file and later re-load. If you have to do a re-install you can have your mfd-setup back with two clicks.

Small side question: How do I select the RWR page from the MFD menu?

from the cockpit mfds, you can not.
however you can set your mfds to display rwr (yeah i know, it aināt there irl) via manually editing mfd section of your dtc or by using wdp.

Thanks. I assume this applies to EWS as well, as I had nothing prior to resetting this alsoā¦.?

I believe reset and save.
The flare and chaff EWS programs are blank as well, so you need to set something up. In the data cartridge, click EWS. There are two drop downs, one that alternates between chaff and flares and one for the six program slots. You need to set up the burst interval, burst quantity, sequence interval and sequence quantity. Page 84 of the SuperPak 3 manual has four basic programs listed there. Also, earlier in that manual, they show you how to program the EWS from the ICP in-cockpit.

what about deploying them manually? how can I do that? and btw sorry for this newbie statement but Iām not aware how can an EW suite automatically deploy flare since IR missiles are undetectable???

The heat from the rocket motor of any missile is detectable, with the right equipment.

no such equipment in bms.

Maybe you could start a new thread? More people are likely to see it then. Iād tell you how, but I donāt know.

I was under the impression that the MAN setting means you press a button to run the selected EWS program.

Hi guys
I have same question of WolfKeeper, i donāt see in documentation and in the keyboard config a command, a switch for manual release of chaff and flares. In the manual i read the description about usage of EWS in datacartrige, this is the only way to release the countermeasures? Have you a tempalete for the configuration of MFDās buttons? THX

With CMS UP, if CMDS if powered (CHAFF FLARES to ON), you are in MAN mode (CMDS), you will launch the selected secqence (1 to 4) of CHAFF and/or FLARES. The sequences must be programmed via DTC or ICP.
And I DO confirm, eveything clearly explained is in BMS manual page 114, 115, 116, 117.
-
CMS up it is, and it launches the current selected counter measures program, even if you are in automatic or semi modes.
You can also consider the programs 5 (CMS left) or 6 (slap switch on the left wall). Especially useful if you have some other means to launch programs, like cockpit or even some extra controls. Then you can select program based on your mission profile, and still use panic-button in situations where you get jumped.
Auto is a bit too sensitive, it will empty your counter measure stores quickly. It is better to use some form of manual. I use in SEMI so I can at least hear when the CMS thinks I should do something. Also good SA gives you info when to start pushing counters outā¦
I usually have one program with very long program so that I can overfly a target area while all the time pumping some counters. It can be used only about once, but I can concentrate on the mission.

sorry again for the out of topic, but whatās the default keyboard button for CMS up down left right? and then what do Z and X actually do? in game option say cockpit drop chaff/flare but now we know that they are not?
-
Actual Z and X have not done that in BMS in a long time. However you can map them as ālaunch CMS programā. Unfortunately you need to find that line in the key-file yourself. I think the keyfile is written quite clear, so you should see the CMS commands easily using Falcon4 options screen.

Reset on EWS page will do same. Loads EWS defaults, then save.
