Weapon Delivery Planner released

It’s been about 3 years since I’ve used WDP, is the proper procedure to do a alt/tab DTC save before the timer hits 4min for example when doing a taxiway start? Reason I ask is because I’ve seen someone state that is not necessary with the new version but I’ve had my callsign.ini wiped out if I don’t do that so just wondering what the “official” procedure is now.
Thanks

No need to do this anymore.
When you are done in WDP and saved your DTC, go back to BMS and before you jump to the 3D world just load your DTC.
After you have closed the DTC screen in BMS, you will see all the lines and PPTs on the map.Enjoy,

Cool, thank you for your response and the excellent software you write for us.

Hi Falcas,
WDP has been behaving flawlessly for months, and then suddenly today I get this on trying to open any .tac or .cam file:Downloaded new version of WDP 3.7.8 and same thing. Latest MS Visual C installed. ANy ideas?
Problem solved: pasted the version of LzssNative.dll from Mission Commander and all works fine now.

Why don’t you use Mach/CAS instead of Mach/GS on the datacard?
-
GS is more practical for timings management than a CAS. CAS depends on altitude … not the TAS/GS.

The BMS TE lessons and the TE editor only show CAS and TAS, not GS at the steerpoints. Is there a way to get the TE to show GS?

I got a bug window when I last tried to open WDP (see below).
I re-downloaded the last version just in case, and checked that .NET 4.0 and Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable are installed.
I googled the problem a bit but it didn’t help much. I don’t have a single clue about the cause of the problem and how to solve it.
Would any of you have an idea ? -
Did you try package instead in the installer already?
See first post for the download link.Gr Falcas

First, thanks a lot for taking time to answer.
However I’m sorry, I’m not sure I understand what you mean.
What I did : I first checked I did have .NET 4.0 and Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable installed, then I uninstalled WDP, made sure I downloaded the very last version and installed it, but I got the same problem with the new installation.
I then uninstalled WDP again, and installed it again by double-clicking on the .msi package instead of the setup.exe, to see if it could make any difference, but it didn’t. -
There is an installer version of WDP, but for some unknown reason some have issues with it.
For those you can download WDP as a packed zip file.
Link is in the first post. Just unpack it in a directory you like.
It might help not installing/extracting WDP your “program file”.
Depending on your windows setting this might block access to reading/writing files.Gr Falcas

Okay, got it. So I downloaded the packed file and installed it… but I got the same bug in the end. The mystery remains !
As for the directory, I installed WDP at the C:// root so it shouldn’t be the cause of the matter at hand. -
New hint, though I don’t know what it may mean. Mission Commander no longer works either, and I just tested Weather Commander and got the same result : I launch the .exe, but nothing happens. When I check the task manager the process is there, but nothing happens. Weird.
I don’t have any problem with the other softwares I use (Falcon 4.0, CH, MS Office, Firefox, etc.), as far as I can tell. -

Sorry, can’t help you further here. The error you have shown is not a typical error report.Gr Falcas

As you can see, your DTC has been messed up. (comm part)
The UHF frequency is missing.
Open you DTC with a text editor and insert a valid freq in the mission spot.Gr Falcas

I began to suspect as much, and a deeper Google search upon the bug report led me to think the matter lay with .NET Framework. I used the MS tool to check the .NET 4.5.2 version installed, but it detected no problem. I then tried to uninstall .NET Framework and install it back, but it didn’t work. So I finally downloaded the 4.7.1 version, hoping its installation would clean it all up, even though that version is not theoretically needed to run your tools. Well, anyway, it did the trick. Now everything runs smoothly, and I can enjoy your very nice tools again.
So happy me, and thanks again for having taken time to look at the problem.

Good to hear.
Enjoy

I m agree but …crash is never good
so it would be better to prevent the user to press “apply” once clear has been done
