Stalemate when enemy forces surrender?
-
So, day 2, 18.30 pm in Under Siege, I notice the clock stopped and there’s a news flash. The news flash says: The Yugoslavian Forces surrendered. I check the logbook and I see a stalemate added to the campaigns. Seems a bit weird, since the Yugoslavian Forces surrendered. Is this normal behavior?

Same thing happened to me in Balance of Power. Victory on day 4, stalemate in the logbook.

Ill have to look at it when I get a chance. Thanks for letting me know.

Hi Cougar56th
I posted something similar about a couple of campaigns I’ve developed in another theatre (Ikaros). Regardless of who wins, we always end up with a stalemate recorded in the logbook, just like DBond and Terminator describe. I’d be really interested in how to fix this if you’re happy to share?
Cheers

just completed the balance of power campaign. i captured all the objectives stated in the victory conditions. the campaign halts (pauses when in 3d) and shows a stalemate in the logbook.

Hi Cougar56th
Don’t profess to be an expert, and this might have been sorted already, but this worked for us with the Ikaros campaigns:
If you look carefully at the contents of the .tri file above you’ll notice that the EVENT# numbers listed above jump from EVENT #3 to EVENT #14 through to EVENT #17. There’s a reason for this. EVENT #14 to EVENT #17 define the outcome of the campaign and ensure that wins, losses and stalemate results are recorded correctly in the pilot’s logbook if the campaign criteria are met. They work like this:
EVENT #14 = Enemy Forces Win Criteria
EVENT #15 = Boredom Wins Criteria (Inactivity criteria, if specified. Triggered if nothing’s happening in the campaign)
EVENT #16 = Stalemate Criteria (nobody wins)
EVENT #17 = You Win CriteriaThe EVENT # seems to be the key to recording the right result in the logbook.
Cheers
