Thanks, but this was no more than removing two slashes (//) from a file: the models are already available.
Next steps:
Adjusting animations (611-Eagle will look into that: currently the landing gear does not respond to g or alt-g)
Adding a 3D cockpit (qawa is willing to do that: he made the 3D Viggen cockpit for use in FreeFalcon and hopefully it can be made functional in BMS too)
Copy and rename some existing weapons (e.g. AIM-9L = RB-74, AIM-120B = RB-99, AGM-65A = RB-75)
Adding new items, like the 1275li tank, U-95 and U-22 jammer; rocket pods, BK-90 GPS-guided cluster munitions, 120kg fragmentation bombs (the AJS-37 can carry 16 of them), BOZ-100 ECM pod and maybe an Aden cannon pod if that’s not available yet (haven’t checked).
Of course all this in cooperation with the dev team: I don’t know if the whole wishlist is possible. In short: a sh*t load of work, especially for an unexperienced modder like me

Man, you wish. You wish. That’s why you work for Falcon community? To see fangirls pee?

Nice first step Snail.
Cannon pod is a nogo right now in BMS. Did it exist in FF?

wow go Vigen GO…

Nope. It would need to ‘detach’ the canon code from the airframe and make it a choice like a jammer: internal or podded. It hasn’t been done so far.

Status update: the new 3D model (611Eagle tweaked it) is in; database has been updated (thanks RAM); current state is still without weapons but that will come, and there are some tweaks to be done like the airbrakes and the AB flame (texture?). Anyway, a few screenshots:
(contrails indeed start at the canards) -

Hot Stuff!
Is the 3D cockpit of JA-37 doing OK in BMS? -
That’s one to find out. Qawa, who made it, has it on his ‘to do’ list. It’s not in the same league as the F-16 3D pit, but hopefully it will be functional enough.

great!
please check canopy frame as well - IIRC the frame part is missing on windshield… -

Hi,
I have seen/tested the other 3D cockpits that Qawa has made and they are very good!!!
Nice work there Snail. :bowd:
For the gun pods, you know you can set the Gun location in the FM.dat file?Gr Falcas

Sure about functionality Snail, and yes… it wouldn’t be at the Nanard F163dpit level (off course) -
@Falcas
Thanks for your great support !!! -
That’s a nice model. To improve it a bit more, you should convert all the canopy nodes to Ptype 25.

Yes I know, but what I meant is the following.
The JA37 is the fighter version and has an internal canon so that’s no problem (OT: it’s an Oerlikon, with an automatich aiming system: it was coupled with the radar so the pilot only had to point the gun cross on the target, lock it and the autopilot would steer the aircraft in the right position, guided by the radar. It was a bumpy ride but very accurate. JA37 pilots could open fire with succes at a much greater distance then other aircraft). The other Viggen to get flyable is the AJS37, which shows up as the first aircraft in the tactical reference. It’s primary a ground attack aircraft. The AJS didn’t have an internal cannon, but could carry a podded one: the Aden gun pod. No fancy aiming system like the JA has. Falcon code doesn’t make a difference between the two, either an aircraft has a gun at all times, or not. There is no choice yet to make it dependant of a pod.

That’s for the 3D modeller I guess. Thanks for the suggestion
