Weapon Delivery Planner released

New hint, though I don’t know what it may mean. Mission Commander no longer works either, and I just tested Weather Commander and got the same result : I launch the .exe, but nothing happens. When I check the task manager the process is there, but nothing happens. Weird.
I don’t have any problem with the other softwares I use (Falcon 4.0, CH, MS Office, Firefox, etc.), as far as I can tell.Looks like you have an issue on our side.
Sorry, can’t help you further here. The error you have shown is not a typical error report.Gr Falcas

crash when we want to clear a frequency preset
As you can see, your DTC has been messed up. (comm part)
The UHF frequency is missing.
Open you DTC with a text editor and insert a valid freq in the mission spot.Gr Falcas

I began to suspect as much, and a deeper Google search upon the bug report led me to think the matter lay with .NET Framework. I used the MS tool to check the .NET 4.5.2 version installed, but it detected no problem. I then tried to uninstall .NET Framework and install it back, but it didn’t work. So I finally downloaded the 4.7.1 version, hoping its installation would clean it all up, even though that version is not theoretically needed to run your tools. Well, anyway, it did the trick. Now everything runs smoothly, and I can enjoy your very nice tools again.
So happy me, and thanks again for having taken time to look at the problem.

Good to hear.
Enjoy

I m agree but …crash is never good
so it would be better to prevent the user to press “apply” once clear has been done -
In the threats tab, when I push the speaker in order to reproduce the RWR sound , it doesn’t sound anything. Do you have the same issue?
+1.
Anyone, Plz!!
Thanks in advance -
Hi Falcas,
I’ve been trying to run WDP networked from my second rig (rig 2) things work fine at first but each time I restart my networked WDP,(rig 2) it first pops up a .NET Framework unhandled exception, I quit WDP and restart and it has lost the BMS install location on rig 1, I repoint it at the install location on rig 1 and all is good again, until I restart WDP ! Sharing perms are granted for BMS on rig 1 as is WDP on rig 1. I can see both locations and all files and folders from rig 2. I have reinstalled .NET 4.7.1 on both rigs but am still getting this error. Any ideas ?
Respect and regards.

that happened to me when I reinstalled windows and falcon on my sim rig about 6 months ago. The problem was that MC and WDP where looking at the falcon setup folder not my steam install.

Thanks for the input @thereisnotime, can’t be that mate as I don’t run falcon thru steam. Maybe someone else can shed some light on the matter ?..…
Best regards.

Whenever I try and use Weapon Delivery Planner to generate weather briefs I get completely incorrect and very wonky reports.
I get this message indicating it is reading the correct FMAP and that it loaded successfully:
Then it will give a weather report like this:
For the record, it doesn’t matter what FMAP I try and load - they all result in this error. Even the FMAPs that ship with BMS cannot be read.
Some assistance would be great! I might be doing something wrong.

Thank you, Falcas, for improving the usability of a great sim.
WDP 3.7.8.101 used to work until I installed wireless mouse, keyboard and peripheral updates. WDP will still load, but once I open a mission or TE, I get the unhandled exception error (in code box). I am running Windows 10 Home vs 1803. Box:i5 6500 CPU at 3.2GHZ, 24 GB RAM, AMD Radeon R9 M390. Visual C++ 2015 redistributable (had older versions but they made no difference in behavior) and .NET 4.7.2 (if i read the WDP loaded assemblies below correctly). My help links in windows go nowhere on their website.
I did the best I could to find help in the forum. So, I tried reinstalling 4 times after changes such as installing old Visual C++ and .NET frameworks. Replaced Vapor.ini file. Uninstalled WDP 3.7.8.101 and installed vs 3.7.7.99 but no change in behavior. Mission Commander works fine. LzssNative.dll is in the WDP directory. Since I have Win 10 home, it is possible I got an update without my knowledge.
Any help to get WDP working again would be appreciated.

Solution to post 1633, Unhandled exception error. I copied the LzssNative.dll from my Mission Commander installation and replaced the LzssNative.dll in the WDP installation. WORKING WDP!
-
Don’t know why but it seems to be working correctly now?
-
I’m not sure why but i simply cannot get WDP to work on windows 10 that comes with .net 4.7+ by default.
There is no way to install lower versions of .net
Reading online regarding my error (trying to open mission.ini file i get a “the path is not of a legal form”, I’m guessing they changed something in later versions of .net and nothing I do will get it to work.
Weird thing is it now fails on my windows 7 vm
-
Running into the same issue as Xtacy, exact same “the path is not of a legal form” error. It seems the last update for WDP was August 30th 2017, so that doesn’t give me very high hopes for continued development…
-
I don’t really know about actual Falcas’ agenda, of course, but the same I can suppose indeed it’s full of arguments and ‘to-do’ things, as after all happens to all of us nowadays (real life duties apart! :D)
But I’m also sure he has more than ‘something’ in mind about WDP future, even he’s waiting a new version of BMS will be released and what new will bring with itself for us.
So, we can hope for the best coming soon, I guess… just a matter of three of four Falcon days, not more.Just my little thought, if I daresay of course.
With best regards,

Hi, I’m doing the training missions and trying to print the data card for the second mission - Navigation, but I don’t known where the file is to load it on WDP. Can anyone help me find it?
Thanks.
After searching a while, I found the file and loaded it in WDP. Printing Data card now…

Well as a Dev team memeber I am not waiting on a new release of BMS
WDP has been on a very low priority. This because I have my hands full on CET development as well as MC. (And a lot more tools for that matter)Gr Falcas
-
As I should already have had not realized it yet…
just by that, thanks for all what you found time to do, Falcas! And have a nice day.
