First of all thanks for the release of this great new theater for our Falcon world.
I found an issue while flying out of Djibouti in NATO campaign.
It was a self made DCA mission against incoming Yemen flights.
I shot down 5 with different weapons (aim-120, aim-9x and guns).
After landing the debrief also said 5 enemy planes destroyed in the dropdown list (Su-22 UM).
But air kills for my pilot showed 0
Pretty sure I was alone during the attacks and saw them go down in flames.Cheers Obi1

Answer to your first question…Yes, screen locks on the second loading bar. Dont need a work around because the first F-18C on the list works fine, im flying it… Loads without a hitch.
Holy makeral! That was a fast approach - I believe it when you say it’s been a long time since your last carrier sim!

Ok well i spoke to soon about the first F-18C on the list to be working without a hitch, Just tried to launch into my second mission and Boom……locked up at second loading bar again…:oops:. I’ll be switching over to the block 50…it’s a shame cause i really enjoyed the Carrier Op :Cry:

Yep, it’s totally porked. I was able to to get in twice and then it constantly locks up.
I’m looking at it, multiple issues here. May also be cockpit related!!

Got to Fly some Missions in Operation Star. Love the Ground War. It’s Fluid and Rapid movements mean I find myself putting the FCR into Snowplow to find targets. It’s ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY to bring a TGP with you, As Positive ID is a MUST in this Theater. I don’t know if those Tanks are Allies Pushing a Breakthrough, or Hostile Armor falling back to a new position, and vice versa.
I find myself in KTO trusting at Ramp ground unit positions since everything is relatively static. This theater is a welcome change of pace in that regards! Good work, and keep squashing those bugs!

The Strait : Updated version on post 1
I played as both Av8 sqdn on and off carrier, f15e, f18e.
carrier AV8 must be very light and reach 120 at the end of deck. I crash more times than not when landing in vtol mode so no surprise that I haven’t had a successful landing on carrier yet.I flew several anti-ground flights and ordered any jets from all sqdns not tasked to do the same .
I tasked b1 bombers to enemy airbase , and found that I had to make sure they were loaded first.
But once loaded, those bad boys can put an end to most airbases fast.All my intervention with flight tasks and personally flying most of the time I won in 6 days.
When I just let AI do most tasks and watch 2d in FF, it took 9+ days -
Some new AGM with flare attached. It still acts like maverick , but looks more like the real one that had a flare so it could be tracked and guided to target. new skins too…

I’m playing Luke’s campaign and giving an eye to this new theater as well.
About the theater, nothing bad indeed… in its literally sense. And I’m addicted to ‘The Straits’ campaign since the first time I flew it, becasue - to my humble opinion, of course - has been well conceived and carefully balanced at the same time.
‘Could a small (rebel, perhaps) Country/faction struggle against an international Community? And how?’
This is the question put on our table, I think… and this campaign could offer one of the possible answers.Well done, Gavin, Ned and all the other friends in your team. And to Luke, in particular: mission accomplished, mate.
Guess it, folks… we have one more great campaign maker just out of the bunch. So let’s have fun.

In Luke’s “the strait” cam, we found out there is a unit to objective ratio limit. I didn’t know that till then.
Somalia has fewer objectives than most theaters, and Luke makes busy campaigns with target rich environment.
We were getting MC crash when mouse hovered over unit . Then Every time Luke rebuilt campaign from scratch, try and fix it, this happened again around same time. Finally after trying a thousand other things we found that more objectives fixed issue.
So there is a few extra objectives like unused carrier objectives in the middle of the ocean. If someone ever wonders why they are there, that’s why. They won’t be seen except in MC, though.
