Not the warnings sound but the constant sound like engine sound. How to turn it off?

Maybe he’s talking about the electricity sound that you here continuous from the moment you power the jet (battery or main)?
-
Yes! Maby sounds like that is what im talking about.

Thanks for the info about lower the sound levels will lower sound for all sounds.
So it is a modification of the sound file. That is maby hard work to tamper with files like that.
I just want to buy a ticket to fly!Naoiuken

Hi
Watching some of the videos the sound in cockpit the whistling sound that seem to never be interupted or stop, maby engine sound, that only sometimes, sounds, vary from video to video.
Is it possible to switch that sound of when you dont want to hear that. It is constantly whistling/sounding. It only acts as a distubance and gives me some stress. If I learn the F 4 BMS to fly I am dependent on that sound and similar sounds to be turned of.
Maby the right way to explain is those constantly sound that is stressing me. NOT the warnings sounds. But like the engine sound. The very high pitch Sound.
If those sounds can not be turned of i must spent my valuable time on something else than to learn to fly the Falcon 4 BMS.
Thanks
Naoiuken from denmark
Try turning eng feed knob to off at altitude of 1500ft in air. It silences all engine voices completely.
Believe me, next time you kinda like that constant engine sound and it won’t cause you stress anymore.M79

Well, I dont think it will actually. You want to try that and see?
Now, if you turned the fuel master switch off (located just aft of the eng feed knob), then that might work.
Dash one should explain the function of the eng feed knob I believe. Should power the air ejector pumps, and the electronic fuel pumps, so as to maintain full reservoirs - and in Norm, so as to maintain CG in balance.
With it turned off, correct systems modelling would indicate that with fuel burn, you may experience CG evolution, and you may experience air in the reservoirs - and if that happens, you may then experience fuel starvation from moderate maneuvering or negative G. High fuel flow, such as from AB ignition, may also lead to fuel starvation at the FFP.
Not sure how much of that is modelled in BMS, but surely it would be an interesting test flight

After two f18 ramp starts and 2 flameout landings on carrier that was supposed to be carrier training missions just for take of and landing i find that knob or in f18 button to be something to remember.
No probs on takeoff but after about 1,5 minutes engines just gone cold. I was at turning back to carrier when engines suddenly died at 1200ft. Last moments I did turn my plane off from carrier cause I can clearly see that that I don’t make it to deck.
Next with 1800ft of altitude with same i setup managed to restart engines and those were spooling at about 60% when i hit deck. So in this case engines seems to got some fuel…
Get in deck but my gear did not like my landing.M79

So go to settings, click the sound button, and adjust the sliders so as to turn down or off the cockpit sounds if you dont want to hear them.

yes, the easiest way is to shut down engine and put battery switch to OFF.
This might however give you some stress as well, depending on your altitude when your perform this operation
(and this is a glider’s pilot speaking here )

At least my stress level gone from 0 to 110% But it does that when I dont hear engine NOISE.
That nice whisling sound is clearly something that i want to hear and I’ll love it. I don’t know pilot that don’t like it. -

In the F-18 this switch should be set the same as you would in the F-16, that is one click with the left mouse button. In the F-18 it will say that’s the left position, but because in the F-16 that’s the NORM position it needs to be there. Setting it to NORM in the F-18 will lead to the same behavior as clicking it twice in the F-16. It’s built on the F-16 avionics, so you have to keep that in mind for this particular knob.
