YAME64 suite

This is not a yame problem but a windows monitor arrangement problem
Best way to set up additional monitors is up and/or left of the main monitor. That way, when any program changes your resolution of the main monitor, the others donāt get shifted.
So in Windows monitor setup, drag your second monitor above or left of your primary monitor. All coordinates for windows are relative to the top left point of the primary (x:0; y:0). If you place your second monitor below, say for example aligned with the left side of the primary, the starting coordinate of your second monitor is x:0/y:1050 (height of your primary). So e.g. YAME places a window at that coordinate. But when your primary monitor changes resolution because the 2D UI of BMS is max 1024x768 or something and you use it in full screen mode, the second monitor now starts at x:0/y:1024. So the YAME window is now 1050-1024=26 pixels lower then you anticipated.
Quick workaround, but you wonāt get BMS 2D in fullscreen then, is active the āwindowedā checkbox on the YAME main tab above the launch bms button on the left side. Thanks a lot!The problem solved finally after I chang my monitor to LG34UC88ļ¼it seems perfectly fit~

Hello
Sorry if this has been answered before, this thread is way too longā¦
I installed yame64 on my win10 computer and bms runs on same computer
Everything works as expected when I launch yame64,yame client and bms
I can see the instrument being extracted and rendered normally apart from the ADI and stby ADI of wich I see only the bezels and the flags but no āadi ballā displayed
Any idea why?Thanks

it should be a missing or not supported shader.check log files and the shader folder
-
Thanks for the answer roccio
I checked the client log file
It says data extraction true,Texture extraction false but I donāt know why and I donāt know what else to check?? -
if something went wrong loading the shader you should read in the log.
strange that nothing is thereā¦ the problem is for sure in the shader -
It is a great tool but I would lose the feeling, sitting in the Cockpit, locate and operate the displays und many others, of course it is more difficult to handle it as it is in reality than on a seperate display. My be there are some more people with the same attitude.
If I use the tool on seperate screen my FPS drops 20% down. -

If I use the tool on seperate screen my FPS drops 20% down.I personally found it much more intuitive and realistic to move around in a pit with real screens (especially together with Helios) compared to just moving around and clicking with a mouse.
Check some examples at http://www.yame64.com/screenshots/ (scroll down to the videos part)But each to its own of course. Thereās no obligation to use the software, then just stick with the BMS default 3D pit

Lastly I switched over from MFDE/RTT to YAME.
The job was done in a couple of hours - and if I would had read the manual beforehand, it would have been only one hourā¦ Great piece of software! The conversion resulted in more FPS and now I have fewer software to start before flying.Just a little bug report:
On the fictionary Blk60 MFD on the HSI-page the waypoint shown there is ā-1ā compared to the current one shown in DED. -
Sometimes i see steerpoints on livemap, sometimes i dont.
Using Yame with Helios and WDPGuess its WDP related ? Forgotten to save something ?

Greetings.
I have noticed that many people use YAME 64 combined with Helios.
Could someone be kind enough as to explain the benefits of this.
Thanks. -
I am using it together wth Helios (better: using Helios with YAME), as with Helios I can put all other relevant switches and buttons on the second screen. This being a touchscreen is IMO the most effective way to build a virtual āglassā pit.
There YAME is being used for all gauges and the MFDs. -

Thanks.Indeed Helios allows you to use a touchscreen and map all buttons & switches to callbacks in the sim. Some items in YAME are already touchable (ICP, moving map, TWP etc) and more to come in a new release (3-4 Falcon months ;P).
Take a look at some videoās, for example this one to see a combination of both in action: -
I have been reading the YAME64 manual today. The reason is that after years happily using MFDE on my cockpit lately it has been frozening the instruments mid flight on ocasions. Is this something that hapends as well on YAME or is time for me to move from MFDE?
Thanks
Tulkas

So far for me: No issues like that noted.
You should give it a try.
No need to deinstall MFDE for testing YAME. -
Please can you help me

NOTIFICATION REGARDING YAME64.COM AVAILABILITY (website & downloads)
Dear all,
Please note the hosting that was kindly provided to us for free by my job employer is reaching end of life and will not be upgraded. Therefor I am migrating the website (plus all my other websites) to a new hosting environment. During the next few days (worst case weeks :D) you might encounter some downtimes.
If the migration is finished, Iāll update it here. I unfortunately lack time for extensive testing, so if you would encounter any weird behavior or bugs (that werenāt there before, I know all is not perfect yet anyway now ;)), please feel free to report it.
Best regards,
Stefaan -
Migration is done. For regular visitors and downloads all should be working.
Our internal dev forum is still showing some hiccups but thatāll be something for later
