Where is the “MLU” checkbox mentioned in the YAME manual to use the MLU options?
BTW: GREAT PROGRAM!!!It’s not somewhere general, it’s an option at every gauge that has a specific MLU variant.
See for example at page 53, section 6.2.4.1 Oil pressure, nozzle position, RPM, FTIT, hydraulics A & B:Some older blocks have markings on several gauges. When selecting “MLU” checkbox in YAME, the gauges will be shown with those green/red markings.
Additionally, when checking “MLU” checkbox for the RPM gauge is shows the correct gauge going to 100% instead of the newer engine that goes to 110%. -
Am…Um…shall there be a 4.34 update or is it compatible?

I’d say, it’s 98% compatible but, looking forward to the new version.

So, I am having the same issue as jcenzano was having…
@jcenzano:I updated from windows 7 to windows 10. My YAME installation does not work anymore.
I tried to reinstall, but i am having the very same problem after the reinstall.
The first I run YAME it propts me to “First select the BMS folder”, but in the Globals tab, I can’t select anything. BMS is working ok

I tried the search this thread function, but I could not find anything applicable.
EXCEPT, I did not change OS’s, only 4.33 to 4.34. I did what Fd suggested below…
If you can’t set BMS path in the globals tab (ref manual page 80 and on), set it manually in the config. Search for yame64.xml in the config subfolder and set it correctly on this part of the file:
<falcon><windowed>true</windowed> <path>C:\Falcon BMS 4.33 U1</path></falcon>
WITH no luck. My Globals tab is still blank. Here is my YAME64.xml file. Any thoughts on why I cannot select the the new 4.34 install on Globals???
<apps version="1.2"><ui><pos x="79" y="47"><clientonly>true</clientonly></pos></ui> <falcon><windowed>true</windowed> <path>C:\Program Files\GAMES\Falcon BMS 4.34</path></falcon> <server refreshrate="30" port="53000"><texturehook>false</texturehook> <keyserver>true</keyserver></server> <client refreshrate="30" runserver="false"><texturehook>false</texturehook> <server port="53000" sync="false">127.0.0.1</server> <smoothtextures>true</smoothtextures> <mipmaptextures>true</mipmaptextures> <layout>jolly_touch.xml</layout> <usetouchscreen>true</usetouchscreen></client></apps>
Thanks in advance.
Cheers,

Until Rocio does his work, (give him time), open yame and execute BMS4.34 with his own executable, or change to the previous version 1.1.0

Goodmorning all, the following question has been answered regarding 4.33, but i have to ask again for 4.34…
Does 4.34 & YAME supports 3 MFD’s?
Photo link below, thx in advance!

Hi,
I know that yame is not yet compatible with 4.34, but if you are in the process in making it compatible, here are some of my struggles. Maybe related to incompatibility or maybe my configuration.
After installing Yale 1.2 I tested it with my 4.33 install and I have no problems. When I place the hook DLL d3d9.dll in my x64 folder besides FalconBMS.exe 4.34 installation and try to start BMS manually (using the launcher) it directly gives the error:
“The procedure entry point Direct3DCreateEx could not be located in the dynamic link library d3d9.dll“.When I remove the hook file I can start BMS normally. But even when i’m Unchecking use hook in yame. It still gives no extracted mfds.
I think it’s something on my system. I installed the Vs2015 dependencies.

After installing the required Windows Platform update for Windows 7, you could copy the d3d9.dll from the c:/windows/system32 folder and copy it over de “old” d3d9.dll in your falcon BMS bin folder.
This solves the error, but not the extraction of my mfds. So it maybe part of the solution. Just have to wait on the new release.

Part of the performance tuning in 4.34 includes migration from Direct3D9 (XPDM) to Direct3D9Ex (WDDM) - this is why Windows 7 SP1 requires the “platform update” (KB2670838) to be installed. RTT export to shared memory now uses the Direct3D9Ex “Texture Creation in System Memory” feature, which increases FPS with “RTT export” enabled significantly.
If “RTT export” is enabled (set g_bExportRTTTextures 1), but it is not being used to display exported textures anywhere, FPS will be the same as if “RTT export” was disabled.

ITS AMAZING HOW I EVER FLEW WITHOUT YAME …NOW I CANT USE IT I’M LOST, IM LOOKING AT BLANK MONITORS THAT WOULD NORMALLY BE MY COCKPIT…ITS ALMOST LIKE HOW DID I MANAGE WHEN WE DID NOT HAVE CELL PHONES, HOPE IT GETS SORTED SOON?

While Roccio is doing his good work you could try RTTRemote by dunc in the meantime if you only use yame for mfd extraction. It’s in the tools directory and really neat and basic to setup especially if you have your yame settings at hand. It utilizes RTT export, don’t know if that’s still a performance factor in 4.34 though.
