Best lubricants for TQS?

What are the best lubes to get rid of the sticky TQS action?
Also, in stores, not online, and in Canada.
Cheers.

Are you serious? I would think the stickiness would still be there…

Get rid of the sticky action? I am using that one : https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?32028-Improve-Your-HOTAS&highlight=Nyogel
But for its sticky action especially.

+1 for Nyogel 767a.
I went through several greases trying to find a more available alternative, and none worked to my liking.
Nyogel 767a is literally purpose built for what we’re using it for. It’s absolutely worth the money.

Not available in Canada.

Another +1 for Nyogel, it really is just the best product for this situation, nothing else comes close.
I purchased it online, ebay I think, can’t speak highly enough about the product, got loads of it too, wouldn’t be without it.

I bought and use this with my Cougar :
Never need to add or replace grease after like 7 years.

I use a low friction tape. It’s used for industrial rollers. A bit like the pads on a mouse that make it glide. I have tons left over. If you want some give me a shout. The tape wraps around the cylinder of the throttle arm where the brake it. No lubricant is required on it.
I also have two aluminium cylinder bushings rather than the plastic ones. I’m not sure they add much more value than the tape. I also use a small amount of divers silicon grease where the bushes contact the cylinder.
I have zero stiction even with the brake on full.
The photo shows one of the aluminium bushes. Unfortunately I do not think you can buy the bushings anymore. The tape is hard to see but just to the left of the bush.

If you cannot use nyogel then you can use lithium grease at home depot. Its definitely not as good as Nyogel which gets rid of the sticky but maintains a high tension so the throttle stays where you put it. Do not use petroleum based grease as it will eat away at the plastic. +1 on PTFE (Teflon) Skived Film Acrylic PSA Tape. Its amazing stuff combined with Nyogel!

I ended up using white lithium grease from a can I had already, works perfectly (no friction), ironic, thanx for the info on petroleum grease cause thats what I had been using recently and ddint know it was bad for plastic and didnt work so well regardless.

ordinairy soap
http://cougar.flyfoxy.com/mods.php#smoothI did this mod when I first got my Cougar… works great. The clear tape I used back then was a 1 inch wide waterproof tape used to seal Radio Control Boats radio boxes ( Your local hobby shop should have it in the Boat department, I think it was made by a company called Aeromarine Laminates). Btw my Cougar is very old forgot when i bought it but back then it was $150.00 USD and the tape is still installed in the throttle, never needed to change it. I used regular dish washing soap i.e. Dawn.

I personally use Liqui Moly 3312. My neighbor is one of the product engineers at Liqui Moly and recommened it to me (in fact he gifted it ;). It has the Right viscosity for a throttle, is spefic designed for plastic-metal, and plastic-plastic applications as well as dielectric.
