Launcher 'Cockpit Display Extraction' will not open
-
Did you try uninstalling and reinstall everything from scratch?
-
-
No, not yet….
Reinstalling will hardly ever help.
But instead of going for the extraction like this…
Have a look at the tools directory inside your falcon install.
Start using RTT Remotegr Falcas
-
@Falcas, I use YAME for extraction, the only thing i need is too remove my border since i run in -windows mode.
So i dont use the extraction for mfd, cpd, rwr all through YAME -

Forgive me, but I’m trying to understand your thread here… All you want to do is remove the borders from your extracted displays??? And you get an error or nothing is happening when you run the Cockpit Display Editor?? If so, try to find this file:
C:…\Falcon BMS 4.34\Bin\x86\Display Extraction.exe
Run this and see if you get the same problem as with just clicking the link on the launcher.
Forgive me if your issue is more in-depth than this…it was lost in translation.

JollyJolly, i have tried this also, .exe will not open.
Windows tells me the program has stopped working and closes very quickly, i also tried to run the .exe in admin mode and tried to run the .exe in different windows versions (run program as).
And yes, i want to remove the border from my main window -

I hate to go against Falcas’ comment that reinstalling rarely works, since I respect his point-of-view, but a re-install may be required here. But before you do something this drastic, try a 2nd BMS install in seperate location and copy/replace the display extraction exe. If this doesn’t work, I’m at a loss because there shouldn’t be any bugs with this file.

Ok, i will try your suggestion.
Thanks.
I will report -
Ok, i installed BMS on my second PC, ade a copy of the bms cockpit extractor .exe and moved this file to my SIM PC.
Started the extractor.exe file …… no joy…Then i booted my SIM PC into safe mode, started the extractor.exe program and YES it works now.
So i unticked the borders box and restarted the SIM PC.Now i can fly -window and no borders !
What it causes ? No idea maybe a broken dll? Video driver? …?
Now when i start the SIM PC in normal mode the extractor.exe still not works.
For the moment it is ok for me now, borders are gone ! -
Do you have an antivirus software running that could possibly block the executable?
