yeap i wouldn’t go full theater or country on 3d.
Breaking the falcon engine breaks the fun.
Doing so was for specific landmarks where breaking (or bending) the rules wouldn’t hurt much and would add to realism.
If i wanted more than 4096 tiles? Oh i would bust everyone’s balls in here, believe me I’m good at it, but lately the voice of reason strong it is in me. [emoji38]I dont push it as I’ve seen the face of falcon from the two sides (remains the third) using it and modding it.
I wouldn’t push devs to add more features on theaters and etc as a priority.
This monster needs developing modding tools more than ever to ease the pain on theater development, and minimize the reinvention of wheel for each team and each theater dev.
Countless of hours wasted to learn and discover the obvious minimizing productivity.So i hawk to whatever you are up to, please, even if it needs double the time for release, please, consider and implement it having in mind an external app that will need to manipulate all those you implement. An api an xml i dont know, something that with some notes will provide to someone the basic foundation to start such an app.
The rest as i said are waste of time. If you don’t have the code, trying to go around it or find things that are not there are pointless, maybe nice but, so what?
If you’ve spent all that time wolfox building 3d objects to create pluralism or realistic airports for Israel amd the whole area, or building a full library for airport objects it would be a great asset for the whole falcon community. Now what? You might gained some money from your project but the community didn’t gain anything, so what’s the point after all?
You didn’t even provide ways or knowledge, or tutorials how to in case someone is interested for some part of it.
This community number one is sharing and providing. It’s not i did that praise me like a God you peasants.
Stfu raise your sleeves master the monster and provide to the community as others do without bragging about it.
There are countless devs and betas and 3d modelers that we don’t know them, they are humble they work hard , without money involved, for it and no one knows that they exist. But we all enjoy it. So is our obligation, each and every one of us, to stfu and contribute to this community and not just enjoy the fruits of it.

TBH, you was spot on about one of my greatest worries, tools. There are some good news and bad news here:
Good news - There is such an external app. In fact I started this all story with an external app.
Bad news - The app isn’t really a “tool”, it’s more a 3D thing. I do plan to integrate there as much as possible but it’ll take time.
However, there is some “Best news” as well - Everything we try to do, we first try to get as much as possible in an automatic way. For now I’d say it’s working quite nice. I really hope that when this thing is done we will end up with as less needed manual work as possible (Manual I mean like creating textures by hand, tiling, and stuff like that).

Yarin (Wolfox) - See? You should learn from Arty and others to have some humbleness in you. You should at your age already realize that wherever you go, whatever you learn, there is always someone smarter than you. Believe me I learned a LOT in the last couple of years and yet when I go ask big 3D experts for help on something, I feel like a damn noob. The more I learn, the more I realize how much I still don’t know.

just one last thing… since you started like 4 years ago and maybe completed one year ago? so your photo resources where old in detail and last two - three years details most probably not there, so you must spot the changes and redo those areas.

I really shouldn’t be here… I’m here for the fun… that’s gonna be my last post in this forum guys… It was really fun to play with you… I’m sure you can take this simulator into a whole new level… I will keep updated from time to time to see if you got any results and I will give my TIPS if you would like to hear them… cya guys.

Well we’re hard audience. If you want to prove something better be prepared.
And no offering, not even how to.
If his case is solid and workable we are all ears and eyes and willing to test and experiment on new stuff. But you have to provide something.
Wasting time just for textures and braking up falcon engine… Well…
If he has it ready, he could record a video and share his hw specs and fps and falcon engine working as it should on regard to units moving, war, radars, campaigns, TE’s etc.He was jumping from one to the other and he didn’t backed up solidly his case. Like yeap you might lose a or some of a but you gain b.
The only gain here was in some extend full tiles coverage. But on the questions for losses he remained silent or his saying weren’t believable. Losses like vga ram and ram usage, fps, load times, radars operation, terrain masking, units movement…
We enjoy falcon without full tiles unique coverage from the very start, something like that if is workable and feasible would be seriously considered… But…
