TM Warthog HOTAS Print Layout PDF

Microsoft Word is really not good for this sort of thing, in my opinion, and some sort of PDF editor would probably be ideal. I am all out of ideas for you, short of you just telling me what changes you want and I could update it for you. Good luck!
That I wouldn’t do, but thanks for the offer. You’ve been a great help already.
Since I’m just getting the feel of what I need on the HOTAS setup, I know I’ll probably be changing things around somewhat, so I’d rather have a source .doc that works with my usual Open Office Writer, which I can save and quickly make the changes to and whip out another PDF. I’ll just have to make my own source .doc myself. The blue arrows on the original drawing from the “key” boxes to the graphic pics will be an interesting challenge with Open Office Writer though.

No worries, that makes sense.
Maybe you could try using the spreadsheet program instead. The MS version has arrows that you can add, does your open office version have that?

You know what… That’s a good substitute, though I have to take a screen shot of the final result for a .jpg as an intermediate step (I have no idea, how to export a section of a spreadsheet directly to image). However, onoe I have a.jpg image all I have to do is import the image to Open Office Writer to make a PDF or if the .jpg image is readable enough just use it directly with Windows default Photo view. Once again, you come thru with the answer… :yo:
edit> I ended up using MS Excel. Took the original BMS Key File Editor.xls, stripped out all the excess sheets other than TM related sheets, Saved as Customized TM Stick-Throttle Layout(s).xls
Voila! (Almost better than a .doc source.)

Nice work!

Nice work!
Have to do just a tad more editing. Deleting all the unneeded sheets caused some of the original text to be replaced with #Ref.
If you’re interested, I owe you… I’ll make one up for you. Just tell me your stick/throttle combo (provided they have a sheet in the BMS Key File Editor.xlx.

Thanks for the offer, I am slowly figuring out the best use for all of my buttons as well as I learn how to do more things in the sim.

So far, my biggest accomplishment/thrill is laying out 6 BLU-107s using CCIP in a perfect straight line down the center of an enemy runway.
-
Nice, my last runway strike didn’t go so well. I definitely need more practice

Use OA1 and OA2 and a Target Steerpoint that way you have visual cues in the HUD to align perfectly even without have the runway even in sight.

Forgive my ignorance, what is OA1 and OA2?
-
per the Acronym listing, I presume he means Offset Aimpoint sighting #1 and Offset Aimpoint sighting #2, though how to set them up is something I haven’t got to yet.
edit> Description how to see the Offset Aimpoint 1 & 2 subpages from the DEST page on pg 74 of the - 1 manual.

Forgive my ignorance, what is OA1 and OA2?
Just 2 Screenshoots on how i personally use them for example on ground target. After identifying a target in column through FCR I set a Markpoint on the first vehicle in the column and use FCR and own course to calculate the alignment bearing to set up Offset Aimpoint 1 and 2 from the previous generated Markpoint. Just left to the Red line is the Tank column. If I navigate my AC to line up the 3 visual cues for OA1 Markpoint and OA2 I’m perfectly straight flying over the target column. That way I could stay at high altitude and do CCRP or dive down for CCIP to drop dump bombs
Offset aimpoint are set with a Range, Bearing and Elevation from a given Steerpoint/Markpoint and can be set either pre-flight for example if target is stationary like a runway or inflight light shown in my screenshots on a target aquired in flight -
Awesome, I will check this next time i get in the game
