[4.34.1] [MFD] FCR rotating and colour settings
-
Version
4.34.1 (x64) Build 20741
- FCR rotating
I’ll let the video speak for itself. First flight in 4.34.1 and this is the first time I’ve seen this happen, so I’m guessing it’s a new “feature”.
Happened in a Tactical Engagement (made this morning in 4.34.0, before U1 released), as I pressed pinky to switch to EXP, which I’d done several times in this flight before and after this event, both in scanning and bugged mode, but this was the only time it happened. As such, I’m not aware (yet) of what caused it, or how to reproduce. Sharing for informational value.
- Colour settings
Compared to 4.34.0, we’ve noticed that the MFD colours on the BAF MLU are also very different, particularly those of Datalink. (left and right column are both green, while they should be blue / green; locks are blue, while they should be white, …) Looking into Avionics Configurator, everything is set as it was in 4.34.0, which I’ve confirmed by loading a back-up profile I made before testing custom colours. No custom colours are currently loaded in Callsign.ini, but FWIW, I’m still using the one I used in 4.34.0.
Tried loading DTC and COLOURS in-pit, to no avail.
Tried other TE’s, and got the same thing. When testing in Instant Action, colours are OK.
EDIT: I’ve asked the 3 others I flew with tonight to check on their end, and they report the same.

Need a repro case. We’ve never seen this issue so far.

For FCR rotating, I did, in stock 4.34. No pics/vids though, I’ve reported it to Leech back then but could not reproduce.

About the color code for the MFD’s of the AM-B, I made that changes based on documentation I have about the default DTC color loaded in our country ;).

Unable to give you one at this time, with 4.34.1 being brand new, but will keep an eye on it. By default, I record all my flights, so if it happens again, I’ll be able to go back and compare with this flight.

Can you just confirm this is also how your colour scheme is set?
Some changes that we’ve already noticed, compared to 4.34:
FCR:- Own lock is blue (used to be yellow)
- Cursor value <0ft is white (not shown, used to be red)
- Strobes are blue chevrons (used to be yellow)
IDM:
- IDM wingman lock is blue (used to be yellow)
- Both left and right colum entries are shown as green (used to be blue and green)
We also have someone with direct access to all current and old documentation, and he’s absolutely convinced the current colour setting is not correct. This excerpt of the M3 manual also seems to confirm that, but just to be sure, he would check ASAP.

Keep us advised. Without repro case, chances to be able to fix are close to zero.

Same for me, following that event.

Yes I confirm. That information is not coming from a documatation but from a real DTC file that we use here ;).
