I was a big fan of this campaign, and now I’m returning to BMS. Could you pretty please update it to latest version, please, please, please, please
I still did not configured even my HOTAS.
But I have to say only an different OOB is needed and maybe sq. size tweaks. All of weapon seeker and tons of other changes were done by the BMS4 team which I have tried or did in my MOD.Only person is needed who is willing to set the battalion and sq. types and SAMs according to '80s. Nothing else. Even more fine tuning maybe sq. role scores changes but I cannot state this because I did not fly any mission so far. About 95% of the works is done by the vanilla 4.34. Even even more. Thanks to the new IR code and weather the '80s with mostly SR IR AAMs are a whole new world. As well as the limited SEAD.
I will try to do the MOD but I have no idea when and how. Because all of old tools are dead now. I do not know who could be done with Mission Editor + inbuilt editor.
For a very quick joy just replace to sq. according to '80s as well as GUs. It should work.
Is there any volunteer to do this? -

I guess its is not soo hard. I’m just lazy. I guess you can do it with mission commander. If you know which battalions should be used you simply change the type of battalions and you relocate and put new SAMs as well as put as the sq.s where you wish. The biggest taks to me to place a functional carrier in campaigns. I need help for this.
The rest of tweaks are not so hard I just have get used to the UI of the Editor comparing to F4B. Maybe some role score and HP changes are needed. Maybe I will do a VERY quick check on these today or tomorrow.
I also plat to do one check. As I see now in 4.34 the 600 gal drop tanks of F-15C and E are now separated. But they have very LQ skins. In my MOD I had much better one which I offered but so far nobody integrated them…

I made a very quick test with mission commander. As I see it is childplay to modify the OOB of the campaigns…
…except the carrier.
I will ask my contributors for help if I cannot make CV for campaign. Setting the sq. OOB is very easy. Also i very easy to set sq. sizes. Because I have no time for test I plan to make a single camp. and without role score change to see how will it work.This is the best what I can promise for a quick experience. I have the OOB tables and other stuff from my MOD which I have to only apply again. It was worth to document at least partially what I did.

Also has to be considered one thing. How real should be the OOB? Because in RL DPRK army literally did not have army air defense even comparing with NSWP countries…
(You check this inthe Evolution thread about army air defense.)SA-4 never was exported outside the WPACT I will not put any of them.
SA-9 as I know was not available for DPRK but I can use for their best units. Maybe, maybe a very few SA-13.
Rest of them can get only AAA and very old MANPAD (SA-7) and a bit older (SA-14) MANPAD. -

Quick test, only the campaign files are separated. I replaced for test an F-5E sq. with F-111F.
It works.Replacing sq. are childplay as I see as well as changing they type of ground units. For test a very “crude” campaign can be released. The Rolling Fire has carrier therefore even work on carrier likely does not work. Only sq. types have to be changed.
As long as I do not change sq. and HPs no files from \Objects are required.My skills are eroded…
What do I have to make in case I change only values are database? HPs, weapons, roles cores, etc? If I wish to use F-15C instead F-15A I have to disable the AIM-120 on the F-15C which needs DB change. But the \Objects dir. is HUGE now…
I do not wish to upload GBs for data for some value changes. How can be done via tdf? -
In my MOD for 4.32 is the F-14 pit from mykinge. Is it possible to somehow put into this MOD? In this case I guess I had to use the whole LOD file just because a single pit. I barely remember the export/import with LE. Only problem LE somehow does not work with 4.34 to me…
Is there any volunteer to try this? I guess many ppl. would love to fly with F-14 in '80s environment with functional CVs.

Years ago he offered to anyone and he sent files even for BMS Team.

MyKinge (Pepe) has submitted his raw pit files to BMS staff so as soon as a viable 3Dmodel is available (which I happen to be working on) I’ll do anything and everything I can to have MyKinge’s efforts to be finalized and implemented in conjunction with the new external model…

He gave me the pit for the old MOD I guess I still can use it. Just because the BMS4 was upgraded to 4.34 from 4.32 the “idea” of the MOD is the same. -

If we consider F-14 pit also are some models which are worth to use from the MOD. The A-6E and EA-6 with their skins. Only problem I lost the skills to integrate them because of LE issues.
