The Growler is even farther advanced over what the Hornet uses. HTS on the F/A-18 platform is a dead issue and always will be.

Glad you got it working,TGW. Yes, such changes as this, the Rhino launch bar and formation light issues( posted elsewhere) have to be done in each theaters acdata.
Well, my friends, I finally got to fly last night, and confirmed that is a fully functional HTS, and it’s a game changer for me in the Hornet/Rhino. My eyesight is not once it once was, and sighting targets was getting harder. That little circle HTS puts on the ground means a lot of good. -

IF playing MP and the server has configured switch “sameACdata” <- not real name , but you will see it in “bms config.cfg” , then Server will not let you join …
So every editing of ACDATA requires , ALL clients/server should have the same , or that switch should be turned off.
It is kinda Anti-Cheat .

Good point, W_F. And , it goes without saying that before I started experimenting, a copy of the original acdata was safe in my documents

I’ve tried the same cheat in Balkans with f16amnl.dat, in Israel with f16cbk30.dat,in EMF with f16ambe.dat each time in the theater’s SIM folder only but BMS 4.34.2 is crashing! Even after restored the original value set to 0 ! So I must reinstall a previous compressed theater by my self (good precaution!). If I understand well It need to change also acdata files in campaigns folder ? Under BMS 4.32 I remember I did those modifications without any troubles but I forget how !!! Sure I’m 61 now and my ram memory is not upgraded like the f16 one

You sound like you got the right idea. You can’t just go to 4.34/data/ sim/acdata. You have to go to 4.34/data/Add On Balkans(for example)/sim/acdata.
Your CTD is puzzling to me. If your f16amnl.dat in Balkans was the wrong Block, the mod wouldn’t work in your version, but would it make BMS crash? That’s above my pay grade;) .
I had some CTD issues a week or two after I did the mods,what fixed it was " Falcon BMS Installation /User/Config Folder and delete the file dx9display.dsp it will be regenerated once you enter 3D"(with thanks to BMS brother Oakdesign). I don’t know if that could be your problem, but it apparently doesn’t hurt anything else to delete dx9… -

I’m going to try this night .Of course since “acdata” in any theater is completely separate from the main SIM folder :4.34/data/sim/acdata there are no interactions I suppose. That’s why I just modified in Add-On Balkans, Add-On Israel, Add-On emf/sim/acdata.
That’s also true why BMS crash when I enter in 3D ? If Oakdesign is right with dx9 it’s the solution.
An other curious thing is that even after restore the initial value (0 for hts) BMS still crash; I’m remember in the begining of crash log something about “kernelBase32.dll” it was in Add-On Balkans. It’s look like a file corrupted. That’s why I need to reinstall the theater (a compressed version before any mod is good).
No wait more I’m going to try now : 1. change HTS value to 1, 2. delete dx9, 3. open BMS, 4. wait and see.EDIT: Tried “1” in acdata for internal HTS (f16ambe.dat) in “Add-On emf” with dx9display.dsp deleted and nothing to do aircraft exploded and BMS crash without any crash log. Just a report queue in “Users/Utilisateur/ApplicationData/Local/Microsoft/Windows/WER/ReportQueue”. 1.16GB (OS : Windows 7 ).
Belgian government doesn’t want to spend more money for HTS !!
