Ice’s Falcon BMS Profile Updated for BMS 4.34
I’ve updated Ice’s Falcon BMS profile for use with BMS 4.34, Helios 1.6 and YAME64 1.2.1 and included a few modifications of my own.
1. Added an IFF Panel with the original AUX COMM Panel still available as an option.
2. Added additional touch zones particularly for the CPD Panel.
3. Included both Hot Start and Ramp Start Helios Profiles.
4. See the change log for a full list of modifications. However, all of my modifications are insignificant compared with Ice’s original work, and readers should continue to think of this as being Ice’s profile updated with a few changes from myself added on.
A Setup Guide, Non-US Keyboard Guides and Change Log are included in the download.
Download from here (Updated 17-11-2020 to include additional Helios setup requirements)
More information can be found here on Ice’s original web page.
Credits to Ice for the many hours/weeks/months that must have been spent creating the profile.
Credits to Weepop for the IFF Panel rotary switch coding and the Lua Script rotary switch coding.Front Console:

Nice additions! Would love to see if I can get this to work on my 16:10 touchscreen… would have around 100px margin on the top and/or bottom, and shrink down the MFD screen viewable space, but for all that control, might be worth it.

It should work, if you designate the touch screen as 1920x1080 in Windows setup (or the graphics driver setup) you should finish up with a 60 pixel margin at the top and bottom. This is probably easier than trying to adapt the profile to the monitor size.

What would be the best touch screen for this, size and brand?

For a full cockpit Helios profile I recommend at least 15.6’'.
I personally use this one for my Hell s setup

do I need to install bms 4.33 for yame 1.2.1 to work in bms 4.34?

Yes, see the Setup Guide in the download for full details.

I hear that helios 1.6 can do cockpit extraction by itself.
why don’t you use it?does yame work better?

I was also under the impression that Helios 1.6 can do cockpit extraction by itself but after several attempts to get it working I posted a question on the Helios 1.6 - Official Thread - Post #105 and received the reply that the viewport extraction only worked with DCS. If anyone has made it work with Falcon BMS then please let me know.
Although the main reason for using YAME was that it has the Centre Panel Display with the moving map so it was needed anyway.

Good afternoon to you, I confirm Helios 1.6 extracts the textures from BMS, see this video of my 100% Helios cockpit. no other software launched.

I just figured it out, I was using the viewports rather than the actual parts.
Anyway, YAME is still required for the Centre Panel moving map display unless I’m not mistaken again.

Yes, you still need Yame for the map, but with Wheelchock we did almost the same.
The only problem is the instruments, Helios doesn’t handle them all, but Wheelchock is working on them.It is still possible for instruments to go through MFDE just as easy to use as Yame.
A small video showing the map.
It has undergone changes since.

Anyone use a 17 inch touch screen or bigger? Is so, what kind? I would like to put my thrustmaster MFDs on it.

I was looking into this profile, and I was wondering how to call up the approach maps on any airbase? I see the departure and airbase layout maps, but not the approach maps?

Hello
@malpaso thank you, but it is thanks to Derammo and Wheelhock that everything was possible, I only used the elements present in helios.
@linknet I saw your message on Discord I am responding to you today.
@ BVT_9 the approach charts are selectable when they are provided in the charts.
I chose not to put them first but they are available thanks to a button scrolling the images. -

If you had to use the Helios Reset Monitors facility this can screw up the charts section and perhaps the approach map buttons aren’t working. I’ve updated the first post download for a 1920x1080 main screen after I originally mistakenly posted it for a 1920x1200 main screen. So if this is a problem, download again and then just use a text editor to modify the profile to suit your monitor arrangement. The alterations needed are fairly straightforward and are all in the first dozen or so lines of the file.

Ice’s Falcon BMS Profile Updated for BMS 4.34
I’ve updated the download in the first post to reflect an additional Helios setting which is required.
The details are in the new Setup Guide and concern the Helios Process Control local settings which are needed to enable Helios to launch external programs.
I’ve also included Non-US Keyboard Guides for Windows 7 and Windows 10.

thanks linknet for the update.
so now yame is needed or not?
