Also, someone else (I won’t name names) stole AMRAAM from me I went by AMRAAM at Frugal’s and FreeFalcon but when I discovered BMS forum it had been hijacked!

Earned a rep in university for being good at cunnilingus and slang for that was mowing the lawn so I was known as Mower. …you asked…

Got mine when I was at RDAF flight school. I was in the 9th grade (class of 88) in school and me and my class mates were trying out future jobs (educational internship). I wanted to be a pilot, so I made an application to try out what it would be like to be a pilot. Had a week of tasting the life in a military flight school. Got my first flight in the T-17 Supporter with a instructor that showed me what flying is all about. Great week and great memories.
Was later accepted to try out the pilot test but failed in math. So the dream was not possible. But today I’m glad I tried. Now I have my own virtual air force and live out my dream in BMS and for that I’m grateful.

My occupation is professional nurshing ,……so , well, my callsign became Nurse.

it is funny, i have fly in all kind of flightsims since late 90’s and i havent think in a callsing, i was know in and old anime forum as RD because the robotech series, and thats how the pilos were called on the series Robotech Defenders, but that was to may years ago.
on that days i used to play online and i start the idea of make squadrons and tournaments, me and my team won a couple of battles but after a few weeks the rest of the guys crush us every tme, so we decide to disband the team and some of us including me left the forum, some how the others allways manage to aroaund us one by one and fire a rain of missiles at the same time, and we cant destroy o eveade all. now i prefer to stay offline. -
My BMS/MP callsign is “Echion”. I got it from the Greek myths which is another of my passions. Echion is a name that appears through out several tales including the Trojan War and the story of Jason and the Argonauts.
The name means…Viper. -

I wasn’t thinking when I created my account here on the BMS forum
When I started learning BMS, I wanted to have the call sign “Glacier”.
I thought that sounded cool (pun semi-intended). I like rocks and mountains and glaciers and things like that.
A year or so before I built my PC and started learning BMS, I bought a gaming console and signed up for the accompanying network. I had to pick a name, and I thought I’d use the name of a type of rock. The network service appended “470” after “Mylonite”.
For some reason, I decided to be consistent when I signed up for the BMS forum, thinking I could pick a callsign that would be different from my username. I didn’t RTFM. I should have just used “Glacier”. Oh well, live and learn.
But I really do like mylonite, it is a really cool type of rock. It is highly deformed, and deformed metamorphic rocks are my favorite. There’s a nice photo essay about it at Sandatlas:
Don’t feel bad , Glacier. When I signed up for BMS using my callsign didn’t even occur to me. I just used part of an email address I was using at the time. As a sidnote , drtbkj is the consonants from DiRTBiKeJoe, but that’s another story.
BTW, I think it’s in the rules that if someone else addresses you by your callsign, it’s official. So there. -
Thanks very much, I appreciate it!
If I’m correctly understanding your post at the beginning of this thread, it looks like your callsign is “Airwolf”.
I’ll bet you’ve been addressed by that callsign already, but if by chance that hasn’t happened yet, I’ll say it: Thanks, Airwolf!

Way back when I started with Falcon 4.0 in 1998 I was looking for a suitable callsign. Something to do with flight and something about me …
On the table next to me was one of my cricket hats of the time, for the Randwick Cricket Club (now https://www.randwickpetershamcricket.com.au/) which has Pegasus as the badge.
Perfect!

Most people think of the nice little tweety bird, but in my case it delivers some serious armament

Well, in my world you are still flying in the jet, even if it is in the backseat… I fondly remember my backseat ride with the Baltic Bees flying a L-39C. Greatest experience of my life. Best thing you can do with your pants on…

I gave my nick by myself since I started simulated flying… well, too many years ago
I chose it straight from a spy novel titled “The Day of the Jackal”. It’s about a deadly (literally) precise sniper, hired by an extremist political organization to kill French President Charles De Gaulle for treasonery in 1963 - all the facts are historically true, only the character is ficticious.
My choice was due to the fact that I love to fly SEAD missions, and when I’m at my best I like to kill SAMs (and AAA too) with a single shot and in a creative way also, in case. A modest guy, huh?
With best regards to all.
