Mission Commander beta release

@ Falcas First of all sorry to hijack the tread, 4.35 has “corrupted” again AIC software, so this is the only way to contact Falcas for me. I’ve found out that in this new 4.35 the AIC radio display, just the frequencies display not the little one for preset channels, doesn’t run anymore. I mean it’s not only not sycro with the in-game but don’t get any commands from any pot/switches on the radio. The one in BMS, that it can be seen in left hand visual it’s up and running. The “AIC” radio pots and switches drive perfectly the in-game radio.
Hope to been clear, Falcas please give a glimpse to that, for all the other people sorry again.
G
P.S.: AIC Radio within AIC UHF page AIC software it’s up and well running.FIXED

Falcas, I am converting a CAM file to TAC. It works without any errors.
When I try to select a side in BMS though, I always end on ROK. Cant select for example DPRK.
In 4.34 it worked without any problem.
What am I doing wrong? -
Found what may be the issue:
When I create a TE in BMS, under “Campaign”, “misc”, “Player Squad” ind MC, there is a “0” squad.
If I do the conversion described above, this “0” squad is not created by MC.PS: I am using the latest version of everything. 0.5.16.563 and 4.35U1

Quick update on my “issue”:
I am back using export units from a savex cam file and importing them into an already created TE. It also do what I wanted. Problem “solved”.

That is not related to what I described though.

Hey Ena, You can ask as many questions as you want. That is still a free world.;-)
I can import air units from 4.35 in 4.35 CAM/TE without any error. I did not try to do that with files exported from 4.34 though.
You can try perhaps to convert your 4.34 to 4.35 files first, AND then export/import what you want. Does that make sense for you? -

Good morning, dear Falcas.
The Nevada 4.35.1 theater comes with a custom ‘ppt.ini’ file. I made it and I’m responsible for.
Here is what our good friend drtbkj (all the credit to him for having unveiled it) has found out:
@drtbkj:I did some testing of MC and WDP. I did get that “Could not read…ppt.ini” error message but if you click through it ,both work well.
I didn’t test it before submitting to the devs, my fault, but thanks to him, I’ll do that in the future.
This premitted, what do you think about? And how to solve that issue now?
Sorry for bothering and many thanks in advance.
Stay always safe, and with best regards.
-
Hey Jackal,
Did you create the PPT.ini with WDP? If not… why not?
Beside that you most likely will not run into any issues if you create/manage the PPT.ini with WDP, you can always blame WDPSend me the PPT.ini and I can take a look.

Falcas hello.
Tell please, the CampObjData.XML file is needed for the campaign or for the mission commander program to work?
Is it safe to delete it?When I save the te_new file, a CampObjData.XML file is generated in the campaign folder. And with this file, the mission commander program, - function “open objective with bms editor” doesn’t work anymore - crashes.
Similar to how described here: https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?10005-Mission-Commander-beta-release&p=564502&viewfull=1#post564502
-
Reading your post I think you are running an older version of MC.
Make sure to get the latest, which is 563.About the CampObjData.xml.
Yeah you can delete this file without any problem. BMS and MC don’t need it.
It only used for communication between MC and the Editor.
Older version of MC still save a old XML file and so the Editor crashes.
Which has been solved some time ago already.Gr Falcas

Jackal,
Wait for The Master to check it out, but I have been playing in WDP. I did not have any ppt on my list, so I went to ppt management, clicked on "save ppt.ini, it asked me if I wanted to overwrite (I said yes). I exited WDP, then went back in. I did not get the error message, and WDP worked normally. I haven’t tested in’pit, yet -
Dear NIL,
thanks for your wise advise and aid, bro.
After that, I had that Falcas’ answer I needed to learn what was wrong in my ppt.ini and proceed consequently.
So I did, following those some steps you have pointed out - and no wonder, I succeeded, as you sure know after receiving my PM.With best regards.

Excellent Jackal.

Hi Mr. Falcas… (oh nooo problems again) … No. Everything is still ok.
There is one small? (maybe) thing I think it would be warm welcome change in MC.
That thing is -> allow change/reset AObj to 0 = zero , … aObj of everything , battalions , brigade … maybe at first just for single land unit (brigade type also) , then as a filtered select group … to reduce clicking…
But why… - > well , here I’m in favor of original campaign setup from F4 … so everything (except things we want scripted) starts … not quite random , but in GTM (God knows,…) ways of campaign
What is happening, and I’m sure its not quite ok, … eg… when creating a brigade with AOBJ preset same as its descendants , battalions, most of them bunch up in preset objective , so essentially , units stacking… so some objectives get “overstacked” … yes GTM will move them around when able … but it wont happen for the next 4 hrs give or take … and then we have to wait for the next cycle which some wont get because still on the move… so then wait next cycle… etc… we wasted a day just because we had already preset AOBJ’s from start because they need to finish that order …
If we would start from 0 scratch …, my humble guess is that at least 2/3rds of units would get different aobjs and head their own (God’s) mysterious ways … so probably less stacking, much less
What do you say,… would you have will and time to make this change.?
Cheers and Thanks for MC … again and again…
(P.s. Well you know the drill, if campaign doesn’t work as expected we can always blame MC :uham:)
