You should be right.
Thanks. -
In fact, while I don’t think I did anything to make it go in that direction, there’s something special and abnormal about my setup.
When I manually disable one of the modes of the transponder, it also cuts the same mode of the interrogator (with a DCPL setting).
That’s how it is with my campaigns and with all TEs I did. And if I pass the TE to another pilot, then he has the same problem in that TE.
On the other hand, if a pilot who does not have this problem gives me one of his TE, then it works correctly: stopping one of the modes of the transponder does not stop the same mode of the interrogator. -
Also on the topic of IFF, I cannot figure out how to clear the IFF caution light that is on when I launch to Runway. And, it is not possible to search for “IFF” on these forums. It returns zero results, likely because it’s too short or looks like a spelling mistake. Thanks.

I reinstalled Falcon and the problem seems for now to have disappeared… except when I flight one of my old TE.
So a malfunction can be transmitted via a TE …

Pfft…IFF…who needs that? Completely unnecessary…

Does 4.35 or earlier model SAM IFF interrogation as part of its launch parameters? I believe there’s been a few RL Patriot blue on blue incidents partly due to bad IFF settings.

Set your IFF master switch to NORM.

Yes ! I agree with you.
It is like the MAR. Really, who needs that ?For IFF it’s better to shoot first and to interrogate after .
But I don’t know why, my buddies in the squadron don’t agree with us . -
Really excellent video here from X-Check covers comms and IFF in context with the campaign.

Shoot them all and sort them after RTB.

But I want to know if when you RTB and you shut off IFF if BMS models having a chance that friendly SAMs will shoot at you.

Not sure about the SAMs but I have had a flight member get shot down by a friendly AI F-16 when he had his IFF settings incorrect. This was some time ago when IFF was 1st implemented in to Falcon.

…that actually makes sense.
